I haven't seen one in awhile, but yeah. They're pretty annoying.
But I also find the "I'm a PC" commercials annoying too.
Anyone who identifies themselves based on the latest toy they use is a shallow corporate tool in my eyes.

Ah yes, the PC commercials with the little girl with her goldfish and the loser kid with his slideshow...I hate them too.
As I was typing this, a Mac commercial came on! A new one, I think. To protect PCs against people tripping over their power cords, PCs are coming wrapped in bubble-wrap, and to stand up to Mac's internal battery, they have long extension cords.
This is BS. First off, I've never tripped over a power cord for my computer. Ever. You put them against the wall for a reason, unless you want your PC in the middle of the room, or unless you're a spaz and a klutz, you won't trip. Second, Macs have a magnetic power cord? Ah-ha ha, I can just picture all the problems that would cause.

I'm reading the list of their adds on Wikipedia, and they're so shallow. A lot of them pick on Windows Vista. I don't use Vista nor do I feel the need to and neither should you. All this "fun" Mac stuff, bleh. I have awesome photo, movie, etc, programs on my PC, but they aren't fun, games are fun. And viruses, my PC has never caught a virus. Ever. And I don't need a dozen anti-virus programs either, I think I have a couple, but I don't even remember what they are, which shows you how often I need them to protect me.

I have a Mac because Windows is made by microsoft. Those corporate assholes aren't going to take anymore of my money! My Mac (Like my PS3, not the GayBox360!) is a status symbol of the rebellion of today against the corporations of yesterday.

It's not capitaism it's theft and brainwashing. Mac doesn't make as much because they aren't as good. The only way they can get as good is if we support them and bring the despotic monopoly on the personal computer market by Microsoft down. Don't spend anymore money on PCs or Shitbocx 360's or their gay exclusive games and buy a Mac instead.

I don't personally hate Macs, but I really, really hate some of the Mac users.
Obviously there are some really nice people out there who own Macs, but whenever people whom I know use Macs use them alongside PCs or discuss the PC versus Mac issue, there seems to be this irritating smarminess that seems to say "you PC users are like little ant minions that must kiss my ass because I have a Mac which is obviously SO much better in every way".
And yeah, I'd probably partially pin that on the advertising, which pretty much goes on about how the Mac is one of the trendiest, innovative and smartest pieces of art since the Michelangelo.
As a sidenote, I also find the Mighty Mouse frustrating.

I've seen some IBM ads, that were totally rubbish too.
Many people say that for a graphist, he must use a Mac, but I've seen some awesome works by graphists that used Ms. One of them even said that he was doing a much better job than all his friends who had a Mac, even though he was working on an old computer, because talent is not about what kind of computer you have - and I have to strongly agree with that.
Apple or Ms, both have appeal and flaws - you can't say one is better than the other. I personally chose Ms, but that's because that's how gamers are. Games are on Ms, after all XD
Many companies run Ms because there are softwares that are developped for Ms only - it's the case in my own company. Others prefer Mac. It's a question of taste and possibilities - what you need is what you get.
Mer, old debate is old. Ads suck for 90% of them anyways, no matter what's being sold. Only very few ads are now worth it. Where's the real creativity, where they don't think you're dumb, but make you go either laughing too hard, or think wow, so awesome?
