The title's not strictly correct. I've been lurking on and off for a couple of months and have only just plucked the cowardice from my craven self long enough to introduce myself.

Hi! I'm Sizheng from Vancouver (West Coastyaaaay) and have to my FF-count Final Fantasy IV (DS remake, don't hold it against me) and IX under my belt. I'm actually on my very first playthrough of FFVII, prompted in part by helping Ite with edits to his novelization manuscript and in part because it's been on my to-do-list for the last few years.

So far: UUURRGGGGMMMGH YESSSSSS. I'm taking my sweet time about it and still dicking around Midgar, but heyoooo.

Other things that will get me raving: Star Wars, bad fiction writing (the only thing I enjoy more than good fiction writing), Batman Beyond, Hayao Miyazaki's stuff, Firefly, miscellaneous anime...

Also, the Game of Thrones thread here is hysterical. I'm excited to do more creeping on that front.

Uhhhh... I'm going to stop now before I further showcase my awkwardness. On that note, herpderpbai.

Whoo, patriotism! Also, yeah, we have a lot of weirdos in Vancouver because it's sort of the artistic Mecca for artists and hipsters in the Frozen Popsicle Land (mostly because it's temperate here and this way we don't have to thaw our hands out over a wood-burning stove or defrost our ink and paints before writing/painting). Also, the rainy skies mean lots of potential for brooding shots.

Thanks for the welcomes (and whelkome--i c wut u did thar). Regarding posting, I generally like to read about and post on literary and game know-how but I'm generally seized with an incredible amount of self-doubt because JUDGEMENT and INTARWEBZ IZ 4EVER. So I'd obsess over saying something worth reading for ages and then by the time I hit submit, generally someone else has already said it with more eloquence and astuteness than I can manage.

So I'm sort of bad with forums and have avoided being active on them in the past. But thanks for the vote of confidence/inclusion, guys!

ALSO. ALL THE FIREFLY FANS. YESSS. At least a good number of ye fabulous hedgepigs must be Neil Gaiman ones, yarr?
