The problem with a sequel is that in most FF games, there's just one antagonist. Hence, story-wise they'd never be able to keep it balanced.

imho, they should just make it a series and add new characters from any FF game as they go along. Or just do them all at once, make it a proper PS3 / 360 / PC game, etc. I wouldn't mind if they made it a 'side' game either, i.e. you see the characters from the side. Would allow for more high-definition characters and whatnot. But zoom levels / large distances would still be required, with the more extreme / non-Newtonian action sequences and whatnot. Think Smash Bros, only fun to play.

In an interview on a German site, they mentioned that even adding KH characters wouldn't be out of the question. O.o

What fucking interview? Link plz. I seriously have never heard them say any such thing and most interviews have been translated for Dissidia.

They recently had some presentation and Dissidia promotion going on in Munich or something, so that interview was exclusive to a German gaming site. It's really REALLY small though and doesn't contain lots of info (although there seems to be a bit about the story mode. Seems like you can shorten it a bit in the international version).

In the second article, they mention the KH thing.

nah man. My azn brothers are the Capcom vs. SNK lot along with most King of fighters series. as far as Capcom products, they loved Rival Schools 1-2 and Alpha 3. They didn't bother with 3rd Strike due to lack of old faces. I heard Chun-Li was included but still... it's some shit I didn't care about

I mean no offense to you, but I was referring to 3rd Strike's popularity and relevance in the entire and most important fighting game community, not just among people just you or I may know. 3rd Strike is still pretty popular, relevant, and considered a great (if not among the best, if not the best) by the overall fighting game community.

Still. 10 new heroes, 10 new villains (Trema or Shuyin, Garland IX and one of the four fiends in FF would do), I'm sure all they need is a proper director and with lots of creativity at their disposal.

I doubt they'd be trying to get the real Disney characters. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Ansem, Organization XIII, etc, are what we'd more likely see.

Which I'm not terribly bothered by since all of them aren't any more (or less) ridiculous than some already existing Final Fantasy characters.
