Why WOULD there be a thread for this show? FFS man, if my distaste for this show sickens you then you indeed are a sickly creature. You have my pity.

But, while we're here: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, were you even really aware of this show? Go!

Havent seen it, heard of it. Heard it described as Seinfeld only the characters have no morality.
If I'd seen more than one episode of Seinfeld, I might be able to confirm this. As it stands, I can kinda see where that would come from.

And no morality is putting it mildly. :monster:

Well, I think they meant in the sense it's a group of friends who do wacky things, but arnt tied down to at least some morals to limit what they do.

he gave an example about how they adopted a baby thinking they could make him famous, but he wasnt ethnic enough to be famous, so they went to a tanning salon.

Haven't seen that one, but that sounds like something they'd do :monster:

See also: going to abortion clinics to meet women, selling alcohol to minors (and taking them to their proms), paying a carnie to stab someone they like, etc.

Actually, the Seinfeld characters have little to no morality as well. Always Sunny is just like an extreme version of that in more terribly awkward situations. It's less 'real' of a show in that the experiences the characters go through are so far out there that you can probably say you've probably never been through something similar (to an extent).

It's an awesome show, though and I love this thread. <3 I can't wait until the new episodes start airing.

Actually, to those who haven't seen it, I might even be willing to step into the LEGAL GREY AREA and put up an episode or two on Megaupload for you guys to watch.

That's a perfect explanation actually. Seinfeld dealt a lot with making fun of little annoyances that everyone experiences. Everyone in this show is just batshit crazy.

...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm glad I searched even though I am about to necro the fuck out of this thread, but my friends got me started watching this show. They started with The Gang Solves The Gas Crisis (WILD CARD BITCHES) and ever since then I've been hooked and binge-watching the show. I'm halfway through Season 9 at the moment but I felt compelled to make a list of my Top 20 episodes (no way in hell I could only do Top 10, the show is legendary and every episode is glorious. FYI the "Colonial America" episode would be my #21):

20. The Gang Recycles Their Trash
19. The Gang Wrestles For The Troops
18. The High School Reunion (Part 1 & 2)
17. Reynolds Vs. Reynolds: The Cereal Defense
16. The Gang Broke Dee
15. The Gang Gets Trapped
14. The Gang Dines Out
13. Mac Day
12. The Waitress Is Getting Married
11. The Gang Hits The Road
10. The Gang Gets Extreme Home Make Over Edition
9. Paddy's Pub: The Worst Bar In Philadelphia
8. Dennis and Dee Go On Welfare
7. The Gang Saves The Day
6. Thunder Gun Express
5. Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games
4. Mac and Charlie Die (Part 1 & 2)
3. Frank Reynold's Little Beauties
2. The Gang Gives Frank An Intervention
1. TIE: A Very Sunny Christmas and The Gang Solves The Gas Crisis

But you have The Gang Wrestles For the Troops as both 19 AND 15 :monster:

I haven't watched this show in years. There were definitely episodes that I thought were absolute comedic genius, and then....some....not so much. Now that it's been on for so many seasons, I'm afraid to watch any of the new stuff. I feel like shows like this can get really tired really quickly.

Ah, well that was quite unintentional. I have replaced #15 with the originally planned one: The Gang Gets Trapped.

Season 7 is the pinnacle season. They just keep getting worse and worse as people which makes the show funnier and funnier. If nothing else I'd watch the ones I've listed in the top ten.

Season 7 was the last I watched (it was the last on Netflix at the time). Should I bother to get caught up?

... Hard to imagine those fuckers getting any worse.

TRUST ME THEY GET WORSE. Season 9, Episode 1 features what I consider the worst thing they've ever done and this is a group that has blown up at least three buildings, kidnapped 7 people and ruined countless lives. (It's not that bad in and of itself so much as it is the amount and personal-nature of the offense. Basically Sweet Dee has her life destroyed. The episode is named "The Gang Broke Dee")

Edit: And I've been watching it on Netflix so I can confirm it's still there.
