Johnny's Girlfriend

Towards the end of FFVII, Johnny is shown to have moved on from Tifa and gotten a girlfriend, whom he proposes to. Yet, she's nowhere to be seen in CoD. Did the developers forget about her or something?

P.S. as a side note, a lot of Johnny's dialogue in FFVII is translated really poorly, so if someone could give me the correct translations, that'd be great.

Like everything else in the Compliation things like that really slip the developers mind or they like to change stuff because they just feel like it.Or they didn't want to make a model of Johnny's girlfriend out of laziness.

They woukdn't even have to make a model of Jonny's gf, as case of denzel is a novella. Not to mention she already had a character model in ffvii.

Also, that's an awfully short amount of time in which he's decided to propose to someone (what would it have to be, a couple of weeks?), I'd have been surprised if it had lasted.

I remember a girl in the bath at costa del sol. Iirc the next time you see Johnny is at the gold saucer, I dont think his girlfriend gets mentioned again.

Didn't he have a crush on Aerith too that was edited out? Seems like he played it fast and loose with his crushes.

Actually, once Johnny gets to Costa del Sol he stays there for the rest of the game. You only find out about his girlfriend if you make repeated returns to Costa and talk to Johnny.
For the reccord, here's Johnny's dialogue from the times he has something new to say after the first visit to Costa:
Before the temple of the ancients: ...sigh...... I'm not good enough for her. What I should do?
After Meteor is summoned: I proposed to her in the middle of all that Meteor stuff!
I don't care even if the world were to end right now!
I can't think of anything else!
After the Rocket's failure: No, no, NO!! Meteor's getting bigger by the minute!!
I wanna live on the edge right now! I want to build a home with my woman and grow old together!
If you can't do it, I will! And that's that!
I'm gonna do my best, so you hang in there, too!

Eh, so he rushed to propose to a girl because the world was ending. Then it didn't and the relationship didn't have enough to hold. Easy enough

I know you guys are saying that's too short an amount of time for a relationship, but remember, Aerith fell in love with Cloud almost immediately after meeting him. And Johnny seemed pretty serious about his girlfriend. And you know, I was glad Johnny had managed to move on from Tifa and get a girlfriend, so when she didn't even get so much as a mention in CoD, it irked me. Though, for all we know Johnny could still be with his girlfriend, and we just never see her. After all, CoD never says Johnny is single, so for all we know she could be living with him, and we just never see her 'cause she doesn't work at Johnny's Heaven.

Johnny is one of my favourite characters. He's such a goofball. He'd be such a pushover in a relationship, he's too socially awkward and whatnot. Do you remember how much he freaks out when he's at the Honey Bee Inn?

Yeah, so? Aerith wasn't talking about marriage at any point and she still knew Cloud a lot longer then Johnny his girlfriend.
