ITT: Current progress of my FFX LP, both from the gameplay standpoint, as well as the actual status of the LP itself (recordings, commentary, etc). This will also be the thread where I'd like to set people up for commentary on videos as we go along.
So far, the following have expressed interest in various parts:
Adri - Operation Mi'ihen, Guadosalam, final ascent of Gagazet
Aki - Rikku's reappearance
Alex - Farplane, Evrae battle (under Bevelle)
Bex - Bevelle section (Evrae, wedding, Cloister)
Joe - Leaving Besaid, Kilika, Luca, blitz in general (third and fourth videos in their entirety)
First video: Just over an hour in length (unedited), starting with the PS2 logo and the main menu, and going through the first sequences of the game; that is, the opening Zanarkand sequence, Tidus awakening at the abandoned ruins of what turns out to be Baaj Temple, meeting Rikku and the other Al Bhed, and the descent into the ocean ruins from the salvage ship. Ends at the Save Sphere inside the ruins.
Second video: Picks up where the previous left off in the ruins, through the reactivation of the power generator, return to the salvage ship, and the first bit of exposition on the world of Spira. Also includes the attack of Sin, Tidus' arrival at Besaid (and meeting with Wakka and the Aurochs), exploration of Besaid and its temple, meeting Yuna, and the first of the arguments about Tidus not being Chappu. This recording is paused and will be continued.
Third video: Picks up where the previous left off in Besaid, as Tidus wakes up to join Yuna, Wakka, Lulu, and Kimahri on the pilgrimage. This continues through the boat ride to Kilika, Sin's attack, and ends at the steps of Kilika Temple, as the gang fights off Sinspawn [insert French name here], leaving Tidus to seriously consider becoming a guardian.
Fourth video: Picks up where the previous left off in Kilika, as the gang heads into the temple to gain a new Aeon. They meet the hotshot blitz team, the Luca Goers (wtf is a Goer, btw?), and Yuna meets her own competition, in the form of the attractive but incredibly bitchy Dona. This continues through the boat ride to Luca, which has multiple very important plot points, as well as the Jecht Shot Challenge (which I rocked, SHIT YEAH), and also contains Yuna being summonapped, the finals (I actually replayed this twice because I lost, but then gave up after the third time because I was tired of it), the fiend attack on the stadium (and its quelling), and the official addition of Auron and Tidus to the ranks of the guardians, bringing our party count to six.
