www.teamwingless.com is live!!!

I'm so psyched to have my own website! For now it's just where I've started posting my 2 novels so they have their own space on the net but eventually I want to start posting art, news, original content, I don't even know yet. Right now it's very minimalistic and I think all the buttons are at least working (yikes). I took @RedFFWolf's advice and used Wix.com and so far it's working out nice, not very limiting for personal use. If anyone wants to check it out and make sure it's not crashing like crazy for anyone, I'd appreciate and I'll hit back.

Anyone else with their own site want to swap web dev advice and brag, post up!

Glad it's working out for you so far. Wix can have its moments of lag from time to time, but that's mostly the transitions between pages. The one thing I do see standing out is on the 'Contact' page, where the icons are covering the "Follow @CrisisCoreNovel" Twitter widget.

And do be aware of the mobile layout, as SMW pointed out. It's where Wix can get a little messy, as it tends to rearrange the icons and images, but it's not hard to remedy, I've found. Decrease the size of some things, leave them in the centre etc., and it'll do well for ya :)

If you're having trouble getting some aspects to do what you want them to do, I'll see if I can help ya, seeing how I have a similar Wix-based site.

Aw man, what browser are you viewing in? I made it in Opera but if it's screwing up in Firefox etc I'll try moving stuff around. Thx for catching that!

No problem!
I was using Chrome. I just tried it there on IE as well, and the same thing occurs. You might just need to reshuffle them. Funny thing is, if I click on the widget before the three smaller social media icons appear, I can follow the link with the option to thus follow you on Twitter, but once those three icons load up, I can't, even though my mouse appears to be touching the link.

Also, just worth saying now - If you want to keep track of your website's traffic, it'll be worth signing up with Google Analytics (it doesn't cost anything) :) - or even have a "counter" app at the very bottom of the page, if that's preferable, which counts the number of unique visitors [I admit to using one, even though it doesn't fare well in the style department]
