About Death and Time - Meeting of two
In the void-like dimension beyond our reach, two figures have met and began a heated conversation for one of their offspring’s disruptive intervention. The means of granting lower life forms access to bending the rules of their reality and destroying the carefully crafted cogs of reality have now broken down, accessing limitless possibilities for other worlds. Such act has angered one entity, one who benefited from the arrangements prior to his acquaintance’s slight.
Now both are at a meeting, with the other primordial being’s children glaring at their guest with utter disdain, knowing full well they were but glorified slaves to this particular construct. Time, said to be all around us, and has now formed within this dimension. This personification is also the father to the countless female-like figures gathered in the beautifully dimmed continuum all called Time Reapers. They call him the Dimensional Father of All, among other loving names but today such compliments fall on deaf ears.
"What brings you to my humble continuum?"
"You know my intention for visiting..."
"We've been at each other's throats since creation eternal; you've stabbed me in the back countless cycles more than all other aspects of reality put together. Do not waste your purpose of visiting me. What do you want?"
"Very well, allow me to be blunt. How could allow your children to muck this reality’s cycle? Have you no idea with what those meager life forms can do with such power?"
"You mean, how I allowed Beatrice, one of my spawns, to turn a feeble little world upside down? It isn't a game. You and I know very well how chaos spawns with a whim of her invasion of that dimension."
"Then why are you not taking the precautions necessary to bring her back?"
"If you are so damn upset of my daughter's misgivings - "
"I am not upset. I am extremely aggravated. Life threads that were supposed to be mine, to be reaped are falling out of synchronization as to what their predestined purposes were given. It violates what our purpose means to be here."
"Do not lecture me in the consequences of tearing reality apart. As much as I can feel your deathly grasp, you know what happens if you reap me from reality, do you? We're eternal; we have no dawn and no dusk."
"Ugh... Do not make this a tedious task, Time. I would never harm you, I never intend to reap anything. A job is a job. But your daughter's interference has altered Earth's destiny in ways she cannot comprehend."
"I know, which is why I've sent two of my best daughters to contain Beatrice's eschewing attempts at rebellion."
"'rebellion'? Your daughters are made from strands of your being! How could she gain sentience far from her parameters and intended course of actions?"
"That is my business."
"I see..."
"If you want, you can do as you wish with that meager world. I've unleashed all entanglements to contain her attempts to rip the timestream."
"Heh...As you wish. I've sent Entropy to do a job, they're known for causing the decay of all life, allowing my ilk to reap faster."
"You intend to wipe out humanity?"
"If it is to undo the mistakes of your daughter, then I will gladly dye my hands in the lives untold trillions to even out the imbalance she is causing."
"Do as you will, but if I learned you had a hand in Beatrice's demise..."
"Theatricality isn't you, Time. Leave that to Life and all the other air headed aspects of reality."
"Hmph. I have a wager though."
"And that is?"
"If my daughters are able to stop Beatrice's malicious tampering of the time stream, I am free to decide the fate of the lower life forms she's stooped to and you are to return to the continuum and reap in peace. Do we have an accord?"
"Hahaha! This is an interesting wager. Alright, I'll take this. If your two inept spawns can bring your rebellious offspring home without my hand, then I will remain idle as they repaire the damages done. But it will not stop me from sitting by and watch where this wager will take us."
"I'll take that as a yes."
"Indeed. Now if you'll excuse me, I will have to visit this dimension where your daughter has decided to call home."
