Online RPG Engines?

Does anyone know of any cool, EASY TO USE / WYSIWYG RPG Engine that supports Online, Multiplayer, and even Browser Based?

I'm toying with the idea of creating an Online Zelda Style, FFVII Fan RPG Game, preferable Browser Based!

OR maybe someone has already created one! Let me know... = )

Short answer: Probably not.

Reply question: What do you understand under 'wysiwyg'? What exactly do you want to create? You know, list specifications and such. As for 'zelda style', what exactly do you consider 'zelda style'd? Same goes for 'browser based' - as in fully in the browser itself (text and image based), using graphics (with HTML5 / canvas), or using a third-party plugin like Flash, Java, or Silverlight? What's the difference between 'online', 'multiplayer' and 'browser-based'?

You're not the first one to go 'I want to make an online video game!1' without realizing exactly what it takes, .

What it takes #1: Knowing what you want, and how to explain that to others.
What it takes #2: Finding out what you need in order to get what you want.
What it takes #3: Getting what you need after you find out what you need.

ahhhhh gotcha! =)


WYSIWYG Game Editor, sort of like RPG Maker or FPS Creator, a Click / Drag Drop / 2D / 3D GUI, User Friendly, little to no programing required...

Zelda Style, ahhhhh.... Action RPG, i guess is best to describe it... full control of character in a 2D / 3D World, with a Battle System that requires users to Click a button to initiate an attack on the fly, rather than a turn based system

Browser Based, using Java, Flash, or Shockwave Rendering Engine

Online as in the Internet, accessibe via any PC / MAC Computer with a Graphical Internet Browser

Multiplayer as in, Multiplayer End Users can sign into a persistent World / Game that is hosted on a Server, and play with other players who are logged in
