Would anyone be interested in starting up a monthly TLS community podcast? I know its difficult trying to organise something like this with different time zones and schedules.

Tenny, Force, Ryu? Would you guys be up for something like this?

I think having too many people on gets a bit chaotic with people talking over eachother. 4 or 5 is perfect.

Community discussion - stuff going on on TLS
Featured discussion - Choose a topic to discuss each month
Listeners questions
Maybe a whatcha been up to section - sort of getting to know the hosts... games we've been playing, movies etc

I've thought about starting up a TLS podcast before, but the thing that has always stopped me is the lack of discussion material. If you think you have enough to make it interesting, I'd say go ahead and make a pilot

Is it easy to make a podcast? I'm a noob. Also, I think debates like the ones that occurred in the military tournament thing might be good. Maybe you could just have a series of opinion pieces made by a series of members, so you don't always have the people talking over each other? It is always a good thing to have a two personalities that play off each other though. They're my favourite kind. Anyone here with a personality? I know I don't have one .

Maybe you could have a person reading fanfiction , or critiquing fanart, or... there's a whole list of things you can do .

You should check out the Comicbook Men pod casts. They have an interesting format and always play on topical and nostalgia stuff to really keep the conversation interesting and fun. If you can do it somewhat like that it would be a really interesting podcast o.o

I've taken part in a football podcast before, which was recorded over Skype with my usual headset, and it sounded fine.

I don't mind taking part, but I agree with you that you don't need too many people, so perhaps a non-speaking role would be best. It would probably be beneficial to have someone listening while you record it but without talking themselves; I could give immediate feedback that would allow you to record extra parts, re-record things, clarify things etc. Sort of a producer's role, if you like, though I expect you're going to handle the recording and editing yourself.

Host generally talks the least in a lot of podcasts

There role is more like a moderator in a debate, they have a list of topics and introduces the topics at opportune times through out the discussion and generally offers his/her 2 cents after the "guests" have said what was on there mind regarding the topic.

So for what you mentioned in this post your actually probably perfect for the job

How about instead of a monthly TLS community podcast, or at least accompanying it, you could have a TLS community podcast network, and the members of which can have their own "channels" and submit podcasts when they like, and coordinate when they like. If you're worried about offensive content or legal issues, the channels could be rated with warnings, have an option to flag, and come with disclaimers .

As usual, I'm constrained to monday-wednesday, and can work around all of your schedules.

I'm down for whenever. I'm usually free after 7pm (get off work at five, go for a run at 5:30-6pm, run for an hour).

Im still drawing up a plan for the ep... news to cover, topic for featured discussion. I was hoping to have time to put together a little sketch thing with voice clips, but im not sure i will
