Okay so, I finally decided to make this club as I did see some fellow members who were interested to some degree in this pairing idea. This club is only meant to be Fanon and is simply meant to be enjoyed as a 'what if' or 'what could've been' thing. So here I present:

To explain the reasoning of shipping this pairing, it's not just a random crack thing. I came to like the idea of Sephiroth & Aerith from the early drafts of the FFVII game story, primarily the one that was supposed to have Sephiroth be a past love of Aerith's. Tho the idea was ultimately scrapped, I felt it did leave opening for the possibility of love between the two, in a fanon sense.

I hope people who are interested are willing to join because I really do love this pairing . Also, same rules apply here as in every club, as well, fanarts/fanfiction/etc!

EDIT: If this club manages to survive, which I hope it does, I'll try to see if I can get a graphic sig/pic thing for it, tho I suck at Photoshop right now xD.

Okay so, I wish to start a small discussion. Now, This will involve my view of Zack/Aerith as a pairing, but this doesn't mean I don't accept canon, I do. Anyway, this is more like, if FFVII had gone along the lines of Sephy and Aerith.

Right, so first, I'll explain my view of Aerith/Zack. See, they're cute together, I will say that, but well, I just can't really seem them getting married, you know? I just feel like their personalities are odd together. No, I'm not hating on Zack/Aerith fans (it's canon anyway ) I just don't really like the pairing itself much. Now that that's outta the way..

Alright. So, I personally, feel that Aerith's personality was better suited for Sephiroth. Mainly cuz, I see more potential character growth between the two in a story sense. Really, if it had gone the route of the "past love" draft, I think it would've worked quite well. that's my say on the matter.

Again, I will say, I don't hate Zack, I like him as a character and I am not denying canon, I just have my own personal opinion on which pairing I feel works better, so not trying to start any fights.

Anyway, some of you may disagree with me, but it's just an opinion. If anyone wants to, discuss.

I want to bump this because I want to join this club because I am a big AeriSeph fan.And you hit the nail on the head of the appeal of those two together.The fact they could have been former lovers just tinkles my interest in them.Plus the fact that they have a lot of history interwined between them and its never explored kinda makes me wish they had interacted more.It would have been good if they have some allusion that they actually met each other during Aerith's captivity in Shinra.

I want to see this thread revived espically in the wake of someone who seems to be also a big fan of AeriSeph.I hope Flower Maiden feels welcome in the club as well.

Another thing is the fact how the game could possibly change if Aerith and Sephiroth were made lovers.One thing in my head is the fact is how will Zack play a role.I was thinkng that maybe that Aerith and Zack did hook up but Shinra had plans on breeding Sephiroth and Aerith together to produce children with a mix of both cetra descent and jenova's cells.Or another thing is maybe there should have been a love triangle that happened between Zack,Aerith,and Sephiroth.Zack won in the end and Sephiroth gently let go of his interest in Aerith after she hooked up with Zack.

Iirc, from an article this site did about scrapped/modified ideas and drafts, Zack's character was actually a "last minute addition" to the story (i think). I don't mean like at the very last minute xD, more like, around the time the final story draft was written. If the company had gone with the Seph/Aerith coupling draft, it's possible Zack probably wouldn't have existed at all, being he was, I believe, created to fill the role he plays now, since the love connection between Seph and Aerith was scrapped.

Still, it's also possible he, regardless, could've been concieved which would bring an interesting love triangle, had it been so . It is pretty amazing how smaller changes can actually affect a lot of pre-existing factors in a story draft tho.

Yeah,Zack is defiantly needed to fufill a lot of things like why Cloud's memory is so foggy and the reason why she is attracted to Cloud.

The funny thing is the fact that if Aerith was the main character instead of Cloud I could see more ship tease between her and Sephiroth.

It would actually be interesting if Aerith took the role of main protagonist from Cloud which would mean Cloud is the one who actually is killed in her place.

I am not especialy fan of this pairing in "living world", but I love the idea they could meet each other in the Lifestream. I guess Aerith already forgave him, and in some way she is the only one who can save him from JENOVA and from is own madness. By "adopting" Kadaj as her son, she proves she's ready to accept him. Don't you think so ?

I wanted to bump this but I found a good recent fanfiction of Sephiroth and Aerith interacting in the lab when they were young.

Another thing that interests me is the fact that Sephiroth never learns that Aerith is the daughter of Gast.Well,maybe he learned in the Lifestream but I find it ironic that he killed the child of the man who he respected most in the world.

I think if he didn't go crazy he would actually have found out eventually that Aerith was Gast's daughter and probably try to form some form of relationship with her.I was thinking what could have been is the fact that maybe Sephiroth could have gotten to know Aerith more and looked up more info on her.Then finds out that Gast is her father.Which would surprise him and get him to actually be more personally protective of Aerith.Then it could have developed into probably more possibly romantic feelings for her as time went on.
