Meh.
Wasn't a huge fan of the first one, PS2 era graphics, repetitive gameplay, and whilst the game constantly tried to make Alex Mercer out to be the tragic hero, it had you go around murdering innocence people to restore health/learn stuff. It wasn’t fun and I traded it in pretty damn quick.
Graphics looked to be fixed & now Alex Mercer is the enemy, maybe there’s hope for this game yet, that said I doubt I will be running out to buy it. That £39.99 price tag on games is looking mighty experience given the underwhelming quality of games lately. <_<

I loved the first one. No the graphics weren't great at all, and the story-telling needed work. But when it came down to it, it was a fun sandbox game and that was what I wanted.
My problem with this one is that it doesn't look different. It doesn't even look like an upgraded version of the first one, the moves seem the same with slight variations and the graphics look even more outdated two years down the line. Eh.

The concept is very interesting, and I quite enjoyed the freedom and fast movement through a city in the first game. But it turned kinda repetitive and grind in the end.
And I didn't like the first few minutes of the game, where it basically goes 'Here's what you can do at the end of the game... And now we take it all away, LoL!'. Not a good thing, game designers - save that shit for a demo or something.

The first game made Alex Mercer out to be a petty evil dickhead.
Even the avatar of the infection, whatever it is you can call the character you're actually playing as is thoroughly disgusted with him for starting the infection to begin with.
I pretty much agree with everything else though. So much wasted potential.

The first game had good promise, a shame it turned out to be a massive pile of shit with a plotline that could have been written by stephanie meyer.
