What's with square and silver hair? *that rhymes* It seems every villain in FFVII has silver hair: Sephiroth, Weiss, Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz, hell even Riku has silver hair!!! Does it have any significance that I blatantly walked over, is it just cool?

Weiss has white hair. :monster:
Hence his name. As for silver hair, it's a common thing in Japanese medai, isn't it? I think it probably has some meaning but is mostly for the cool-factor anyway.

Silver hair equates to wisdom in Japanese culture. That's why a lot of bishies have that colour hair. Not to mention Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz are descended from Sephiroth anyway.

The other reason is Nomura.

Well, Weiss does have white hair, so we can cross him out. Loz, Yazoo, and Kadaj all relate back to Sephiroth, so it'd make sense for them to have silver and not strawberry blond or some such. Sephiroth had it since the beginning, and he was only one character...With Riku...Well, a lot of KH characters have silver hair, so I can't say anything there.

But, I think the silver hair is more for the cool factor. There's the cultural aspect as well. Lots of anime/manga characters have natural silver hair. At least we don't have characters with apparently natural pink hair. :monster:

I was told by a Japanese friend it (also?) means 'Other Worldly'. Perhaps he meant supernatural? I didn't think to ask him then... Oh wait, that was for white hair. Sorry. Perhaps the same/similar meanings?

Listen closely, there is meaning in my words.

Yeah...that was kind of a simple question. I have no idea how no one would know that.

Ergo, this topic is closed. :monster:
