God that brings back memories. I haven't touched my copy of X in years, not since I got my 360.
Hell, even my PS2 hasn't been played since then except for a quicky with Re:Chain of Memories.
Anyway, once again I find myself cursing Dissidia.
Not that it's a bad game, it's just after trying to master every character, I find myself forlornly remembering all of their stories. So After I finished the Warrior of Light's and Terra, I went back and played FF1 and 6 (The first I played both the original (holy crap that would have sucked without a emulator) and the GBA Dawn of Souls).
And now that I've finished Tidus and Clouds, I seem to have found my copy of 7 and 10 and am playing the former on my laptop while I must finish the latter on my actual console.
And thus I find myself in my dilemma.
These games you see, many have not aged well.
I am especially fearful of 8 (I FUCKING HATE THE BEGINNING! there's so much drawing and waiting. bah) and 3 (I've had the DS version since it cam out, still haven't gotten past the stupid mini forest place).
I'm not too worried about X, aside from some bad acting, it still plays nice and has a tolerable battle system.
And VII is still the gem I love, albeit a little slow.
Lately though, ever since breezing past 1 I find myself playing more complex games.
Like keeping every low enough in 6 and 1 until you get espers/class changes to maximize stat bonuses.
I've already got a good challenge for X (no abilities, just stat boosts)
but what would make a good challenge in VII?
I thought maybe no materia, but really, it just makes most characters beasts for attacking (Cloud, Red and Tifa especially, Tifa starts off like crap but after a few levels is quicker than most and hits pretty well)
Anybody got any good ones, other than the standard "low level" game.
