It's causing drama because apparently people are not keeping to the rule and discussion thread we made about it being dropped and no longer being brought up again. If this turns into another discussion for a spam section, I'm just going to link back to X-SOLDIER's original post and close this thread. It's been discussed already and I don't understand why this is being dregged up again when this is the same song and dance as before. It's people complaining about not getting what they want.

And its in the rules, and not ever moderator can be expected to see every single post that exists on this forum. That's ridiculous. If there are unmarked spoilers or something and you don't like it. Report it. The spoilers in chit chat were only seen because they were reported.

Because it seems you're saying you can't accept us letting some spammy threads which we've allowed and condoned to exist, while we enforce the rules regarding discussion threads. Which is it? If we close a thread that's got no discussion value, then that's why we're doing it. We may let some threads exist if they've been here awhile like the Chit Chat thread and music thread, but that's not the norm, nor to be expected.

Also, again. I must've missed the spoilers. If you see spoilers, then report them. We can't be everywhere and we make mistakes and miss posts. The only reason the spoilers in the Chit Chat thread were caught was because V and A reported them and thus asked us to take care of it.

No, what people can't accept is you arbitrarily deciding that "Funny quotes = spam". Everyone who's posted in this topic except for you, Dacon and Quexinos disagrees with that definition (Munatik only agreed with the topic's closure because it could be conceived as trolling), so obviously, the definition of what constitutes spam is what's causing drama. I'm not disagreeing that 90% of the topics that were closed as spam deserved it, but seriously, most boards have a fucking "Post funny quotes" topic and no one looks at it as spam. If closing a specific topic which has been used by enough members causes a big enough outcry, its best just to let it go and run with what the members think.

Actually I do disagree, but I agree that Mako and other mods think it's spam and I have no choice but to honor that. So when I say it was spam, it was Mako's definition of spam, not me personally. I love "post funny quotes" posts but if one of those is this board's definition of spam, that's that.

Edit: I'm not sure how my first post could be seen as a spoiler, since the topic was the bount arc being over, and that's what happened during it. But the second one defintely.

The last three posts I didnt' see, so I apologize. That being said, I never said I was perfect in the first place. If spoilers are somewhere, report them. Or let me know, even if I'm the one posting them. I'll tag them.

Remember, there was no outlined policy before hand until certain people kicked up a shit about it.

It developed naturally from on-topic discussion, and there's substance to the discussion. This is another case where the spam rules are too harsh. Threads naturally go off-topic after a certain amount of posts. Discussion can't be contained to a single topic a lot of times.
