I have to give the animation team credit. They must've known it would be aired in 4:3, and everything fits within that ratio. I also imagine they assumed that one day the full frame would be viewed by the public, and made sure no corners were cut. I find that the expanded view of 16:9 really adds to the viewing experience in my opinion.
