Okay we are talking about Disney too often to not have an official Disney Club. Lemme begin with the following:

My Top 10 Favorite Disney Movies
1. The Hunchback of Notre Dame -
Cut out the Gargoyles and this is the darkest and most adult of all the Disney films ever made. It's practically an Opera.
2. The Jungle Book -
Yet another film that while remaining a kids movie treats us like adults. Shere Khan is a gret dignified villain, and the stories are very solid. It's almost like a road trip movie in the jungle.
3. The Great Mouse Detective -
Don't hate, I liked Sherlock Holmes as a kid, and I love the brilliant mind in this. Also the main theme is one of the catchiest Disney tunes out there.
4. Aladdin -
Chalk this one up to a throwback to my childhood, even though I prefer darker Disney films, this is one of the few super cheery ones that I really like. Robin Williams FTW
5. Beauty & The Beast -
The first animated film of all time to be nominated for Best Picture and it shows. It's just a top to bottom solid Disney film.
6. Peter Pan -
Another one from my childhood which was a "boys Disney movie" in my mind. I liked the adventure, I loved Captain Hook, and Tiger Lily was one of my first awkward animated crushes
7. Lion King -
I know I'm gonna get crucified for having this so low, but I really only have it this high anyways because of the few moments that really kick ass like the animation, Circle of Life, Scar, Rafiki, the connection to Hamlet, and the middle to end section of the movie which is where it really hits its stride. Young Simba irritates me and Just Can't Wait To Be King is the most obnoxious Disney Song of all time... almost.
8. Sleeping Beauty -
Maleficent. That is all
9. Rescuers Down Under -
Because it is a severely under-rated gem of an animated picture and if you haven't seen it shame on you.
10. Fantasia -
Is it cheap choosing Fantasia for this list? I don't care, it's my list and I loved watching it as a kid and I love watching it as an adult. I've said before the Ave Maria at the end of Fantasia absolutely wrecks me.

Come talk all things Disney. Get all your Disney love out.

Special Bonus, since I love creepypasta:

Dark Knight of the Red Wings
I love Disney but I am more of a classic Disney guy myself. I enjoy the vast majority of films that were released pre-Lion King. It's very hit or miss for me post-Lion King.

Here's my top 10 favorite disney animated films (this was agonizing to come up with, mind you):

10. Pinocchio
9. Dumbo
8. The Black Cauldron
7. The Aristocats
6. Aladdin
5. Robin Hood
4. 101 Dalmations
3. The Lion King
2. Beauty and the Beast
1. The Jungle Book

There are so many other Disney films and shows that I have enjoyed over the years though. I absolutely adore The Swiss Family Robinson. Absolutely one of my favorite films of all time! I enjoy Mary Poppins and Homeward Bound (1993) as well. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

I also love some of the tv animated series. Gummy Bears, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, TailSpin, and Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers all are legendary.

I'm just gonna settle myself in here for the long haul. Ahhhh...
Thank you for making this!!

I love all things Disney - the story and the characters, the songs and the music, the heartbreaking elements as much as the heartwarming ones, the light and the dark.

I've never worked out what films and shows my favourites are, but there are some that stand that bit more above the rest. Favourite characters though: now I could certainly name a few there!

While I was in college, I was a part of the St. Vincent de Paul society, whose members may as well have founded a Disney Club while they were at it. I was involved in a Peter Pan pantomime at one point :D - it had so many Disney references and songs---it was just wonderful.
I was the dame! And a fine, crackin' one at that! ;)

Wow, I'm saddened and ashamed that the greatest Disney movie of all time is not already in here.

Okay, okay, but no, Hunchback of Notre Dame. Why do I keep using the word Opera?

and THAT OPENING song that is all over the place and just wonderful.

Oh and how about the heart-breaking exchange between Frollo and Quasimodo.

And on a more comedic but still very dark note. I chose a version of this song with lyrics only because the animation has the Disney goofiness that kind of gets in the way of the song:

Seriously this has one of the best soundtracks of them all.

Goddammit, now I have to go on a Disney song Youtube binge.

Disney always does its songs really well, they always do something in the storyline rather than just being set pieces.

Love Tony Jay's voice, although honestly my eyes mist over at any Legacy of Kain voice really.

So my hoodie came in today: The back of it features 9 Disney villains in "Pop Art" form.

We have in the top row: Hades, the Evil Queen, Scar
Middle row: Queen of Hearts, Maleficent, Jafar
Bottom row: Ursula, Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil

They're good choices :)

Watching Emperor's New Groove today (this thread got me in the mood for it) and it's a damned good thing it's so funny because the humor carries a plot beyond repetitive.

KUZCO: I'm gonna build thing on your hill
PACHA: Well I'm not gonna help you.
KUZCO: I'm gonna do something foolish and almost die.
PACHA: I'm not gonna save you. Never mind I'm gonna save you.
KUZCO: Well I've changed my mind. I'm just kidding.
(repeat from the top two more times).

That said it is insanely funny. I think the Nostalgia Critic described it best. It's like a Disney version of a road trip movie.

Beauty and the Beast <my fave
Sleeping Beauty
The Sword in the Stone
Snow White
Fantasia

I want to get Lilo and Stitch next - Stitch is hilarious.

There are still loads of stuff I haven't seen. I saw the Lion King and pretty much everything pre Lion King, but after that it gets pretty patchy.

Anyone looking forward to the new Disney movies coming out like Zootopia and Moana.

Had a look into both of them - I hadn't heard about them until now. I'm not seeing enough info on both of them to know much.

But I did see a teaser trailer for Zootopia - kind of put me in mind of something a little more like Dreamworks in style. That being said, I haven't been in touch with Disney films in the recent years, so I can't really justify my thought :P

It's got a walking, talking fox - so long as it throws in a few born-to-be-classics songs, I'm down for it

DVDs are 25 cents, VHS are 10 cents, sometimes 5 cents each at the Salvation Army and the Goodwill. I'll complete my Disney collection in no time.

I bought a new combo VHS/DVD-R last year. They won't be on the market much longer, if not already.

I have videos of most disney films that I remember growing up with on VHS which I still own along with my replaced DVD player. I have Snow White, Cinderella, Peter Pan(and it's sequel), Lady and the Tramp(and it's sequel), the Little Mermaid(including it's TV series and sequel), the Great Mouse Detective, Hercules(which I also got the DVD version since the Video was starting to go), the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Two Ducktales episodes, Two Chip'N'Dale episodes, Pocahontus(sorry for the spelling mistake), Toy Story and Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, Mulan, Aladdin, the Return of Jafar, Aladdin and the King of Thieves(I also replaced them for DVD version that my mother got me for christmas), the Emperor's New Groove, and uh...I can't remember what else I have in a way of Disney movies on video...

On DVD for Disney films, I have a couple of Mickey Mouse christmas stories, Mickey Mouse works and House of Mouse episodes, National Treasure, National Treasure 2, all four of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, George of the Jungle movie, Flubber(dumb movie, I know), Mickey, Donald and Goofy the Three Musketeers, and I think that's pretty much it.

My family and I collected lots of movies before DVDs came out and even then, we still collect movies on DVD today as we still keep our videos and current usable and working VHS.

Does this count on me being a new member of the Disney fanclub?

Thanks, and I also just remembered that I actually have the Lion King and it's sequel both on video, and Beauty and the Beast on video as well, oh, and 101 Dalmations(is that how you spell it?) the original Disney animation, and did I mention Sleeping Beauty? Then there's the Sword in the Stone which I also replaced for a DVD replacement since the video was starting to go.

Not to mention Snow Dogs on Disney DVD.

My mother got the Sleeping Beauty remake "Maleficent" on DVD which I bought her for...either for her birthday or for christmas, I can't remember, and then there's the Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp.

Um, I wanna show you guys a picture, but I'm just wondering. Do you need an Deivantart account to show pictures anywhere online that isn't truthfully yours? I'm confused, because there's a Disney wallpaper of Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and a young knight with a sword, another guy with pointy ears and the last is a giant fairy with an Bow'n'Arrow, and I am not certain if that's an early stages of Kingdom Hearts or something else.
