Sublime
Gravitas? What gravitas?
Anyone else read these? I'm making my way through them at the moment. So far I've read Consider Phlebas, Player of Games, Use of Weapons and I'm currently reading The State of the Art.
All I can really say is that they are all incredible. Banks' writing style while sometimes a little hard to follow keeps you reading on and on. And something I've noticed which is common to all the books I've read so far is that each one contains a revelation which makes you look back on the whole book with new eyes as you suddenly realise what's been going on the whole time. Even in the State of the Art which is a collection of short stories there's little twists which make each one so satisfying to read.
