The Debug Room

After browsing FF7citadel and looking at the debug room, I wondered if there'd be anything interesting out there about it. And sure enough, on youtube there's a few videos on it. A few of these clips are quite interesting while others seem like something we've seen before.

Also felt like posting because videos are usually funner to look at than just a picture.

It's such a caring fiend. :monster:

:P lol Yeah. Now, I've never gotten into the debug room myself, but I've read about it and seen some clips regarding it (now, including those below): does that pyramid ever attack you if you just sit there? :(

I always liked going from level 7 to 30 in the first fight. Made the game alot easier. Other than that, I didn't know what else there was to do in the debug room, but then again I was also like 10.

IIRC you can add Sephiroth to your party (and Aerith post mortem). That used to be the big attraction.

How does one get oneself into the debug room? They're using the PC, so obviously it's not a GS.

For PC, there's save editor like 'Jenova' which has 'Debug Room' accessing feature, also there may have 'Debug Room code' for PC(though I haven't searched for that).

**Some 'debug room: outtake scene' clips were taken from PC version.

Thanks!

Thank you for posting these, there are a couple of weird ones here I haven't seen before. Here are some interesting articles regarding the debug room if you haven't seen them before. :)

First one is about hidden key items not included in the game:
http://www.ff7citadel.com/secrets/sp_keyitems.shtml

This one is the giant Aerith, already a vid here but there are clearer images and it explains it a bit:
http://www.ff7citadel.com/secrets/sp_giantaeris.shtml

This one is a "red man" found in the desert prison:
http://www.ff7citadel.com/secrets/sp_redman.shtml

And there's even a secret track not used in the game, you can listen to it here:
http://www.ff7citadel.com/secrets/sp_music.shtml

I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I did. ^ ^

The unused track is included in FF7 PC MIDI data, you can get it if you extract files from data\midi\*.lgp. The purpose of 'Red Man' is still unknown. It's hidden beneath the background layer, remains unseen without the aid of some tools like 7mimic(for PS ver.) or Cosmo(for PC ver.).

Haha been ages since I meddled with Debug room, creepy though. I remember wondering what it was for, I went exploring, kind of awesome. Gameshark for the win (loved using it for FFT for Special Classes for Ramza; White Knight.

Debug Room is great, if you know how to use it. I managed to start the game over with a few good levels and plenty of mastered materia.
