The Joe Madureira Thread of Awesome [Battle Chasers/Darksiders]

So, in case you've never heard of him, Joe Madureira is a Comic book artist, and he's done a lot of work over the years.

Long story short, he worked with Vigil Games and THQ and eventually got his own studio Airship Syndicate.

His most early work Battle Chasers was a comic Graphic novel series and is now an RPG called Nightwar, and it's very fun. It's Turn-based and has a lot of combat elements modern RPGs employ, but just enough tactics to feel like a traditional RPG.

If you liked the top-down map style of Final Fantasy VII, I think you'll like Battle Chasers Nightwar.

Secondly there's Darksiders.

The best way to describe it is Legend of Zelda meets Devil May Cry meets God of War.

The first two games cover the (mis)adventures of two of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse War and Death... the third one which is still being released is Darksiders 3 which is the story of Fury.

Even if you don't recognize these games or have seen them before, you'll DEFINITELY recognize the voice actors in these games.

These games are very fun, and you get to look cool while playing.

The puzzles and quests can be tricky, but if you can push on past the difficulty curves, these games are worth the trek.

They're on PS4 and Steam.

I especially recommend the Warmastered and Deathinitive editions.

But even if these games don't suit your taste, please check out Joe Mad's art... you won't regret it.
