Anywho, remember this topic? A full 21 of you stated that you would be open to contribute to the site in any way that you can, from editorials, fan art, visual art, writeups, anything! I was very glad to see that so many of you were enthusiastic about helping out, but nows the time for it to actually happen.

While Compilation news is slow, that doesn't mean we have to die off and become an enclave of sorts. Final Fantasy VII, and by extension, Final Fantasy, is still a hot topic of discussion in gaming circles, but we just need to bring it here. This is mainly through the front page being interesting and updated, but I have a few other ideas as well.

WE NEED FROM YOU:

-Your writeups
-Your fan art
-Your editorials
-Your essays
-Wallpapers

As far as the more abstract, we also need from you

-Suggestions on how to improve and garner interest in the Gameplay Help Board
-People to actually POST in the Gameplay Help Board.
-Anyone they know that can do translations or would be interested in doing so.
-Anyone who can help with the Audiobook.
-Anyone who can help us with our Encyclopedia idea.

User generated content is the name of the game, here. I don't want anyone to think that only the Staff are responsible for keeping the forums and the mainsite on the up and up. We're all in this together, and I want to emphasize that anyone has the ability to have their work and efforts featured on the front page, if you're good enough!

I'd like to help. I'm quite good at writing. I know the compilation pretty well-ish but certainly don't have encyclopaedic knowledge. I need somebody like an editor to tell me to DO x or y or z.

PS I think we should make audiobooks of good fanfiction.

It should, especially if you do what those Final Fan-tasy Real guys from Germany do. They're awesome.

Instructions for how to make costumes and props might be useful and interesting. The most amazing cosplay I ever saw was a girl who'd built her own chocobo - she stood inside it, so her legs were its legs, and she'd made its neck out of something that enabled it to turn and twist, when she touched the reins, as if it were real. That girl has a future in a theatrical design.

As long as they're good I guess. Nothing against you, but I figure a crossover fic can only be SO much quality, no matter who writes it.

I'm going to put this out on the table. EVERYONE is encouraged to submit whatever you have. But there is a supply/demand/diminishing returns thing going on here. I want to have a balance of stuff like editorials, write ups, analysis, artwork, creative projects, etc etc. While fanfics fit within that criteria, on the same token, I don't want a situation where I have 300 fanfics coming in and nothing else.

+ quality is key. The more quality, the better exposure you will be given on the site.

Of course, that's a relative term, so some controversy may occur. But we love getting your feedback on such things, stuff you love, stuff you hate, etc.
