The Most Memorable Moments of the Compilation Contest

Alright folks. Ashes suggested this, and I loved it. So I'm gonna announce this now before I either forget, get too lazy, or have some other project/work get in my way.

We're gonna make an announcement on the front page. I'll do it either tonight or tomorrow. But basically, this is going to be a memberbase vote on what the most memorable moments of the Compilation of FFVII are, based on what you members think.

Those who do the initial nomination, will then write up a reason as to why this is a memorable moment in the Compilation and have it posted on the frontpage. After the initial 20 slots are filled, it'll be put to a vote to see which are ranked from least memorable, to most. And after that, the top 10 will move on to the next bracket of voting, to see which moment is the single most memorable event of FFVII and the Compilation.

So if you have a favorable moment in the Compilation of FFVII you want to gush over/squeel-over/analyze intelligently/etc, nominate that fucking moment before someone else does.

If you want to have your favorite moment in the Compilation of FFVII come out on top, VOTE.

Since I'm gonna be posting up the results for this poll in the end on the front page, I'm going to abstain from voting. So yeah. You folks nominate what you feel is memorable and then from there, we'll have a vote.

Race Driver has the event where Vincent tells of his relationship to Lucrecia and how she was Sephiroth's mother.

Itsuki Koizumi has the Cloud Cross-Dressing escapade in Wall Market.

Tetsujin has the final battle between Cloud and Sephiroth in the spirit world.

Smaddy has the firing of the Sister Ray while it's hooked up to Midgar, killing Diamond WEAPON and shattering Sephiroth's barrier.

Quexinos has the newly done fight scene between Cloud and Sephiroth in ACC.

Dark and Divine has Sephiroth's Reunion and revival in AC/ACC.

LicoriceAllSorts has Zack's DMW destruction during the final confrontation in CC.

ShikamaruNara has the Kalm Flashback battle with Cloud and Sephiroth, where they fought the green dragon.

Marcus Fenis has the scene where Barret watches Dyne commit suicide in the Corel Prison.

Vendel has the event where Red XIII learns the truth about his father in Cosmos Canyon and sees Seto cry tears while petrified.

ForceStealer has the ending of FFVII where we see Red XIII 500 years later with two cubs looking on a Midgar with greenery and people living there.

Tai Kaliso has the event where Cid and the others finally launch into space and save the Huge Materia from the rocket.

Cannon Fodder has the rescue of Aerith from the top floors of the Shinra Building.

S and G has when everyone returns to the Highwind after being ordered by Cloud to determine a reason to fight.​

looneymoon has Cloud falling from the No. 5 Reactor and crashing through the roof into Aerith's church.

Alright I'll play along. I'll be the first to nominate Cloud tossing Sephiroth to his death at Nibelheim.

But I'm lazy. Don't make me write up something about it.

Aeris being stabbed to death.

Sephiroth coming out of nowhere and killing her..yeh, shocking, so many people cried over that..i didn't myself. But a true memorable scene.

Aeris had been a significant character up to this moment in the storyline, and for the first-time player, i don't think anyone expected what was about to happen. If that wasn't emotionally shocking enough, the music accompanied the scene perfectly as cloud lowered a lifeless Aeris into the water with a mixture of emotions himself.

Sephiroth's smile whilst he had Aeris impaled also ignites the feud between himself and Cloud.

FYI, there is a writing level requirement to be posted up on the front page. A shit write up that's below the level of an 8th grader and/or filled with spelling and grammatical errors is gonna get passed up and given to someone else.

So do keep that in mind.

I will be slightly different and say not Sephiroth being thrown to his death, but the CC rendition of Cloud, lowly grunt, taking Sephiroth down when Fellow 1st Class and hero Zack couldn't do the same.

On a similar note, just after Zack's death, as Cloud gets back up and wanders off towards Midgar. Both instances are major turning points on what will eventually become Cloud's legacy, but the former truly showed the heights he could eventually rise to.

Ryu, do you want to do the stabbing of Sephiroth in the back, or Zack's death, and Cloud going to Midgar? I'd personally recommend doing the Zack one, since the stabbity part kinda merges into Isabella's moment, but it's really up to you.

I have no fucking idea what the first half of your sentence is even attempting to see.

Having only played FF7 and being too poor for a PSP, I'm going to name most memorable moments for that game.

That's splitting hairs. I consider Cloud defeating Sephiroth at Nibelheim as one big moment. I don't really care though. You might do a better job of writing it up than I would anyway.

I think one of the most memorable moments is where Vincent reveals his link with Lucrecia and the big debacle where Sephiroth could actually be his son considering the time and age of Vincent before he was transformed into the vampire like person in contrast to Hojo. There has been a lot of speculation whether Hojo fathered Sephiroth and quite frankly I am a little up in the air. Unfortunately I don't think they were familiar with DNA testing. For some reason upon viewing pictures of Vincent and pictures of Sephiroth they really look similar, in relation to Hojo. Could this be a possible conspiracy theory in the future?
