Alright, I know we have an old thread that was started ages ago that can be bumped, buuuuut this seems better. Fresh start on a trendy little site known as Last.FM that harbors all genuine fans of music (and a couple of kids that just like to think their cool by showing off their shitty mainstream stats--but we won't get into that).
The main objective of this here thread is to broaden our collective horizon of musical scope. You may post your weekly charts, chat about your different tastes or simply inquire about bands that catch your interest that other users have/are listening to--whatever as long as you're talking about music. Firstly, everyone should kindly introduce who they are over on Last.FM and include a general genre that you strongly like at the present time or whatever your profile says you like most overall if you just listen to everything.
I'll go first. I've been a user of Last.FM since somewhere around 2006 when Tony (CK) introduced me to the site. My first account went by Taijiya or something like that (forget, but its in my list of friends on my current account) and I was into the whole emo/hard rock vibe at the time. Fast-forwarding to now, my present username and account goes by Integra4000 and I'm an avid listener to a broad variety of electronic music. I'm still building up my library as I want to find more new groups to listen to. I tend to get bored of my current stuff if I listen to it often enough, so yeah. Within the last week I've been looking into good ambient music and have come across a few like Entheogenic, Bluetech and Kuba.
Even though electronic music is preferred, I still listen to bands like Epica, Creed aaaaand--well, you can just have a gander for yourself. I'll post weekly charts when I can be bothered later.
