TLS EVENT: Dacon/ I'm Batman will make us a comic book

We all know Dacon- alternately Batman and 'Master Bruce'- and that he is awesome, yes?

We all also know he makes awesome art, right? Like better than a lot of comic book artists, right? No? Well, just a reminder, then...

Yes, he drew that. In about an hour. It's not even complete. The man does awesome work with colors.

And this man is willing to draw us a comic book. Of any part of the compilation we want focused on, of at least 21-25 pages.

Not for free, of course- this is quality work, and deserves some money in return. Now, Dac is in a bit of a tight spot, and he could really use some help, about $500 dollars worth. Now that might seem like a lot, but remember, a lot of artists get paid as much for the page for comic books, and this is for an entire comic book for everyone to enjoy, and everyone can chip in just a little to make it to that total. So if everyone chips 5-10 dollars for our friend, we can all get some awesome art out of it. Think of it that way.

So what do you all say, folks? Would you like to see a fully illustrated comic book done by our friend, for us?

This thread is meant to gauge general interest in a comic book, get nominations for moments you would like to see Dacon work his magic on, and to make donations in once we get a paypal donation set up. A later thread will be made to whittle down the nominations into THE moment or moments Dacon will render with his awesomeness.

The demise of Shinra has been discussed a lot and will certainly be a nominee, but I'll also nominate the raid on Junon's Underwater Reactor. The first time the team just ran in, gun's blazing, their reputation preceding them. (And the demise of Shinra was the second time, but there was more downtime - going through the plates and stuff)

Would donations be made straight to Dacon or to TLS which will then make the one payment to him?

I'll defiantly donate, I just made some disposable income last Friday I need to blow somewhere.

Any scene would be wonderful, but preferably I will bring up the Tifa vs. Scarlett fight, but I'm sure Dac could add a twist and make it all epic and comic book fight like. >D

Escape from Junon would be epic indeed. That might get my vote if there is nothing else to pique my interest.

Although, when you think about it, Cloud wasn't part of that, and it would probably be best to do something with him in it.

Temple of the Ancients might be cool. That or the confrontation with the crystalized naked Sephiroth, where Cloud freaks and gives him the black materia.

That scene is pretty dialogue heavy and not too much happens...until of course the shit hits the fan. And then we could really make Dacon work drawing the Weapons emerge from the Crater

Just so we're clear, a lot of environments and designs in the game aren't that fleshed out in detail, not in 3d or in 2d art, so I'm gonna have to do a bit of guesswork on some things.

Things won't look exactly like they do in the games, but I'll do my best to get them as close as I can where reference allows.

I nominate the Sector 7 Plate being dropped, because I want some Jessie, Biggs and Wedge... and also Tseng. XP

OH. YES!

Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie are three very under-loved and under-represented characters. That would be awesome indeed.

But then that means leaving out the rest of the main cast, because only Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Barret were involved with that whole mess. :/ And Tseng and Reno, too, I guess.

If people don't mind leaving out some of the main cast, how about the escape from the Shinra building, including the motorcycle chase?
