VIDEO GAMES LIVE ANNOUNCES VIDEO GAMES LIVE TV!

LIVE PERFORMANCE TO AIR TONIGHT!

Video Games Live is proud to announce that we are starting a live streaming broadcast channel with TwitchTV! We're calling it Video Games Live TV (of course!). Aside from being able to see certain performances of Video Games Live, we will take you behind the scenes and on tour with a front row seat to the world's most popular video game concert!

In addition to streaming live concerts, Video Games Live TV will feature exclusive interviews with game composers and developers from around the world, interactive games, live Q & A, contests, prizes, specials guests and special exclusive performances by your favorite video game artists from around the world. ​

Tonight, Saturday, April 14th at 5PM PACIFIC / 8PM EASTERN we will be broadcasting our 3 hour show tonight LIVE from El Dorado, Arkansas with the South Arkansas Symphony! Multiple cameras will be set up throughout the venue tonight including backstage! See what goes on behind the scenes and interact in the chat room directly with the performers during the show. for those of you who are unfamiliar with VGL, it's a concert of entirely video game music played by various orchestras around the world with gameplay/trailer syncd up to go along. the host (tommy tallarico) can be kinda...douchey sometimes but i encourage everyone to check it out

Oh yeah VGL...I went to one of their concerts. It was awesome. Sang the lyrics to Still Alive with the crowd and the band. Great cosplayers there too.

Shame the stream can only be 420p max.

Still, audio quality is good and their camera setup seems to be working nicely so far. Currently have laptop hooked up to tv and my parents are watching it with me

Tommy needs new jokes, the KILL THOSE PEOPLE one is great 'n all but he's used it in every single show since 2008. Also MGS soundtrack is pretty sweet.

the way VGL concerts work is kinda interesting when you compare them to the other more restrained productions.

I've never seen PLAY (is that what it's called?) or Distant Worlds so I don't know how those concerts go as far as restrained-ness, though VGL is definitely way different than Tour de Japon or w/e that Japanese FF tour was called. Then again, I guess that's as much Japanese culture as the concert itself.

Also, the SEEEEGGAAAAA never gets old.

Well they seem to be full-on collared-shirt formal sort of concerts, while VGL seems to give the entire thing the more rock-star treatment
