I kind of loathe Kunsel. His sole reason for existing is to be an infodump machine. He's incredibly creepy. The best fanfic story about him I ever read had him taking blackmail photos of his fellow SOLDIERs. He would do it too.

I like to think that Kunsel survived long enough to appear in the OG and was then killed by a party consisting of Nanaki, Yuffie, and Cait Sith.

Cid Fabool brings the player literal support with multiple airships AND provides comedic relief. Not to mention he saves the party, while he is in frog form, in one of the most memorable minigames of FFIX.

Cid Fabool? More like Cid Fabulous Cool.

Yeah, I'm glad for Kunsel's existence as the original game omission of any rank and file SOLDIERs left a gap in my eyes but Cid Fabool is definitely the better character.
