So, I read "Ultimates" #6, and -- ugh -- this book should be one of the best things out there in a long time. How is Ewing messing this up so badly while writing it so well?

At this point, he's not only using "omniverse" and "multiverse" interchangeably, but "universe" as well! He even has Galactus outright refer to Eternity as the embodiment of all universes (i.e. either the multiverse or omniverse, depending on the minute here) only to -- a moment later -- depict a flashback in which the Eternity that Galan of Taa merged with (to become Galactus) referred to himself as the embodiment of the universe.

Amidst these errors in the foundation of the concepts he's working with, though, there were some really on-point explorations of Lord Chaos and Master Order, and wonderful work with Galactus's personality. The Molecule Man scene was awesome too.

Let me wax appropriately philosophical for this book: This good book by Al Ewing deserves a better Al Ewing than the Al Ewing it got.

Just a damn shame.

Man, working a day job again is murdering my ability to read comics in a timely manner. Blergh. Also, I think that the TMNT comic was pushed back a week.

I'm reading the 70's Tomb of Dracula comic. Was reading some reviews that highly recommended it, and I have a friend with the first Omnibus, so I'm checking it out. Haven't gotten far enough to have much of an opinion on the work as a whole, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Totally pissed that Harley's Little Black Book didn't come out today like it was supposed to. I guess DC's concentrating so much on the Rebirth series that some others are getting pushed back, including the double issue rerelease of Harley Quinn. Ugh.

I did walk away with a few good ones that I've been meaning to pick up though!

Jessica Jones: The Pulse. I have to commend whoever cast the TV show, they found an actress that looked exactly like her, even for someone like me that doesn't care at all about things like that.

Got the first issue of Romulus by Image today. I've only gotten halfway through it (very busy day!) but it's pretty good so far!

Also picked up the first issue of Another Castle from Oni Press at work. The variant cover caught my eye, and further research on the store's computer told me it's a wacky spin on the damsel in distress trope, hence the title.
