What were you thinking while you were watching?

I fucking cried when Sephy and Cloud were fighting. I was smiling at the awesomeness, then I felt something wet on my cheek. Pretty embarrassing, and I might be even overrating it, but what the hell.

Lawl, when they were fighting I was thinking "THERE'S BLOOD IN MY ADVENT CHILDREN, YEAAASH \/".

And then Zack appeared and I don't remember thinking. I think I just gasped and made some weird noises and looked in awe at it.

I was thinking "Is that static or light reflecting off of dust?".

I was giggling. I don't know why, but I was giggling.

But at one point when I started hearing the Masamune sound effects I kind of randomly thought "Wouldn't those sound effects be bad for those with hypersensitive hearing?"

Also, while watching the movie I was thinking, "Oh that's different! And so is that! Wow that looks awesome! So does this! Hmm...that could have changed. Oh but here's another pleasant surprise! Dude now this is adorable! DUDE how badass!" etc. etc. all throughout the movie.

Of course, I thought about that during AC as well.
My other thoughts were focused Geostigma. It was nice touch how much more gruesome it was.

When Cloud saves Denzel and Tifa

Did u guys notice when Cloud throws his sword to save Denzel, the sword actually splits into 2 and Cloud swings his sword after saving Tifa to reassemble them

I noticed that. I was confused at first as to what he was doing after he saved Tifa, but upon watching it again I noticed that the firs sword did split in two. XD

Same here. She was too awesome for words when Denzel opened his eyes and saw her holding his hand and smiling at him. <3

Oh, and for some reason I thought the way she just jumped off Fenrir after Cloud saved her was super awesome too. Tifa = winwinwin.

I don't care about physics law as long as the fight is epic XD

Last thing I remember thinking "WTF happened to Cid's manly baton-twirl move?!" Then things got fuzzy. I think I drooled.

I originally watched the Japanese version with no subs, so the first few minutes I lamented at literally missing all of the juicy new dialogue and being reduced to oggling at the pretty pictures and drawing water from my ankle-high pool of Japanese understanding. (about seven or eight words, xD)

After a bit, though, I realized that somehow, I had memorized about eighty percent of the dialogue in the original movie, and the film still made sense (Don't know if I should be proud of that or not,) and continued watching.

First scene to really strike me was the Geo-Dude dying in the alley (No relation to Poke'mon, I swear). That scene just made the Stigma look terrible. The next scene that really got me was the flashback to Case of Denzel. Good stuff.

The other scenes which I didn't expect just got me absolutely giddy. Laughing, cheering, hair standing on end, you name it. The flashbacks of Crisis Core really got to me, along with Zack's words of encouragement, and Cloud saving Tifa and Denzel in Edge.

The entirety of the last battle was fantastic, too, and the whole time I was just stunned. Pretty much everything from The Shadow Creeper/SHIN battle to the last credit in the ending had me awestruck. And it's funny, because the original film really lost some of it's momentum for me starting with the Edge stuff until the final encounter.

jeez, the english dub sounds worse than I remember.

So many lines sound forced and fake. Especially Cook's.

Reno and Rude actually sound better though, wtf.

And:

"Kadaj, I've got a question"

in whiny nasally voice "I've got an answer"

laaaaaaaaaaame dialogue right there, with poor delivery.

Yeah, the only people in the Compilation I've been really impressed with are Newbern, Gomez, Burton, and Blum. Very consistent work.

I like the English dub, special from Cloud and Vincent... but of course the Japanese version much better... and Yes, Takahiro Sakurai is <3

I prefer the Japanese version myself, but I think the English dub is good for the most part.

And I agree with Takahiro Sakurai being <3.

Btw, in the scene with Cloud and Rufus in Healin I thought it was awesome how Cloud seemed to be panicking a little inside at the mention of Sephiroth.
