Wherein We Gaze Into The Pool,
We find ourselves the hapless fool
Of machinations, old and cruel
Reflections on the pool.
Gaze not with recklessness therein,
With care and cause, note the glint of dew
That bends the light, and there's the spin;
In dark and light, our eyes untrue.
What you see must always be
Conveyed with stolid subtlety,
Or else reports of your legalese
Will reach all our extremities.
Tell me what your soul's own mind
Has left unearthed for me to find.
My eyes will glint, and reflect your view,
And bend it, as the morning dew.
When two can clue their view into
Another's true verisimilitude,
Then two are one, and one is two.
We find ourselves the hapless fool
Of machinations, old and cruel
Reflections on the pool.
Gaze not with recklessness therein,
With care and cause, note the glint of dew
That bends the light, and there's the spin;
In dark and light, our eyes untrue.
What you see must always be
Conveyed with stolid subtlety,
Or else reports of your legalese
Will reach all our extremities.
Tell me what your soul's own mind
Has left unearthed for me to find.
My eyes will glint, and reflect your view,
And bend it, as the morning dew.
When two can clue their view into
Another's true verisimilitude,
Then two are one, and one is two.
