Most fans wouldn't mind at all if he ignores the film he didn't make.

X3 didn't anger me as much as it did some, but I like that he'll attempt to keep everything andmake it work rather than just playing the reboot card. Yes sometimes things deserve to stricken from canon, but I'd prefer that it wasn't done flippantly.

I wouldn't mind if "The Last Stand" was just ignored the way "First Class" made Emma Frost an adult in the 60s while she had previously been a teenager in the 70s during "Wolverine: Origins." That movie was garbage anyway.

That being said, I do appreciate that Singer is going to fix things while acknowledging them. It's a respectable move.

I can't fucking wait for this. The past/present Xavier and Magneto posters got me all giddy again! I've got faith in Bryan to get this right. I've loved every X film he's made, particularly X2.

And yes, The Last Stand. Let's forget it ever happened. As far as I know, there was a cure. Ensue X-Men vs. Magneto. The cure is only temporary. No one died. Ta da!

the 1990s X-men cartoons series was mostly the apocalypse storyline to my recollection, so it'll be interesting to see a movie's interpretation.

I think Marvel/Disney have the movie rights to Cable actually.
Ill have to hunt down the movie rights contracts but I recall the Mutants got rather arbitrarily split up.
