If you say that people don't give a shit anyway, why would you make the thread to begin with, especially when you barely post here at all? And then you come back to thank a handful of posts? No. That makes it an attention grab, not a legitimate farewell thread, bro, and you know it.

What, posting a farewell thread means you have to disappear from the forums the moment you've posted it?

Personally if I were making a leaving thread I'd stick around for a bit before going. I'd probably make one in advance of leaving anyway. People who leave thank replies all the time. That doesn't make it an attention grab.

I guess we've had to put up with the likes of Username so much that we forgot what it was like to handle a genuine farewell thread for real, lawl. And well, it turns out that some of us actually cared! Not many of us, but enough that it mattered. I'm pretty annoyed at myself for missing it,
