Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be revealed soon, preparations are underway (via Nova Crystallis)

You’ll have to wait a little bit longer for information on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, according to Tetsuya Nomura. Joining in on the inaugural episode of Square Enix Merchandise Radio, the game director and character designer was on-hand as a special guest. Naturally, the other staff present couldn’t help but ask about when the next details will be revealed for his elusive project.

“It’s a delicate situation within the company. Very delicate.” explains Nomura. “We’ve been quiet for a year now, but the date is already set for our next reveal and we are steadily working toward preparing information for that. Last year we failed to announce anything about the game – to be honest I talked about sharing new information but wasn’t able to and I want to apologize for that.”

Have your say: will there really be more Versus information soon? (hat-tip: Captain Highwind)

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Spotted On The European PS Store (via Explosion)

Final Fantasy X and X-2 are getting a remastered version before the end of the year, as many Japanese role-playing games fans surely known. Aside from a first launch trailer and screenshots for Final Fantasy X HD, not much is known about these remasters. One thing, however, is assured: Final Fantasy X HD will look great, as seen by the screenshots. Square Enix stated that the game will look as good as Final Fantasy XIII and things are not too far from the truth.

Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD Remasters have now appeared on the European Playstation Store: the pages don’t reveal anything that we didn’t know yet and the set release date is clearly a placeholder. The interesting thing is that they have appeared on the PS3 Store, meaning that they might get released digitally on PS3.

Have your say: will you buy the remastered versions of X and X-2? (hat-tip: Prince Lex)

Square Enix’s Bravely Default releases on 3DS in 2014 (via Gamezone)

Some great news for role-playing game enthusiasts slipped by today’s bigger 3DS announcements from Nintendo. Square Enix’s Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is coming to the handheld next year in North America and Europe. Nintendo is publishing the title, which fans have suspected would reach the West for a while now. The localization will be in English.

The classic-style RPG uses a job system, which both the four playable characters and enemies adopt. You can discover more jobs as you play. Below is a new, subtitled trailer for the game.

Have your say: will Final Fantasy Type-0 ever get an English localisation?
