FFVII Remake To Be Structured Like FFXIII Series

by April 6, 2016 0 comments

In the latest issue of Game Informer, Producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed a few details about how the multi-part Final Fantasy VII Remake is going to be structured.

He clarified that they are looking at the FFXIII trilogy as a model and that each part is essentially going to be a full-scale game on par with the size of one FFXIII game.

Furthermore he reiterates that there are going to be changes to the story and that he feels that since him, writer Kazushige Nojima and director/character designer Tetsuya Nomura were the original creators, nothing is untouchable. Kitase assures however that they are not going to change everything.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently slated to be released on PlayStation 4. No release date has been given yet.

Do they mean this like the FFXIII trilogy or just like the FFXIII game itself? I’m confused.

They mean like the trilogy. But they actually contrasted it, because each release in FFVII Remake will be part of a larger story rather than a separate one. Probably like releasing each disc of the original game, expanded to game size.

So in other words, it’ll be like, “Final Fantasy VII Remake-Part one”, “Final Fantasy VII Remake-Part two” ect., right?
