lol I was wondering how long this would take to be made

Super Mario 01/25/2013 10:44 PM

I think I'll go blind watching Episode VII if that's how he directs this shit.

The Man 01/25/2013 10:50 PM

It won't be. The lens flare was never that bad.

Tetsujin 01/25/2013 11:02 PM

Yeah, I honestly don't understand why everyone is so hung up about the lens flares.

Super Mario 01/25/2013 11:06 PM

Star Trek's lensfares were minimal and good, so I dont get why the unlimited lensflare.

The Man 01/25/2013 11:09 PM

Because you can't get laughs out of mimicking a trait that isn't used in excess, so you have to dial it up to eleven for anyone to find it funny

ForceStealer 01/25/2013 11:36 PM

I didn't really have a problem with the lens flare either, but calling them "minimal" is equally absurd.

Tetsujin 01/25/2013 11:50 PM

So now with a confirmed director and a script from the writer of Toy Story 3...

Is this the time to get my hopes up?

Super Mario 01/25/2013 11:52 PM

Patience. Use the force. Wait.

Patience leads to calm.
Calm leads to tolerance.
Tolerance leads to the Light Side of the Force.

And that doesn't make for good film.

Midgar leads to Kalm, Kalm leads to the chocobo ranch

I dont think its that the flares are super overdone, its that they dont look natural

Explain this?

If you mean the lens flare in the Star Trek movie, I don't quite understand how that was even all that bad. :/

Its like in the new spiderman, they added particles in the air for the 3d effect that was kinda distracting... i dunno.

In Star trek, i think it was ok in action scenes and big visual effects shots, but when they're standing on the deck having a convo with close ups, and flairs are obscuring their faces, it seems a bit wierd
