Since there isn't a proper topic for this game yet, here's a new scan, shows the battle command window it does look more 'FF' than XII's system. But it is hard to say without seeing it in motion:

I'm also very glad Nomura did something so radically different. I think he looks cool and its great seeing a cast that looks truly different in terms of who's apart of it.

I'm probably only going to play Agito initially since I don't own a PS3 or a 360. *Sigh.*

But I do approve of the new character. That baby chocobo is adorable. :monster: And his hair is awesome. I already want to see some cosplay.

Im really not liking the new character. He reminds me of Chris Rock mixed with Eddie Murphy...two people I cant stand.

I don't see how anyone could like that character, I mean really just look at him. The only good thing about the design is the Chocobo baby.

I don't think he looks fucking awesome, but I like that he's different and just not another sexy bishounen male character. I personally think Kiros from FFVIII looks 1000x better, or hell even Barret, but I don't think this FFXIII guy is stupid either.

I guess I'm just in the middle. I applaud Nomura being different but I want his character to be cool too. I'm not too worried though.

I don't see what's wrong with him. At worst he's just a regular dude. At best he's a refreshing new look for a series that's criticized for it's tired character designs. I mean does everyone have to look 'cool'? That's the biggest problem I have with Japanese character design.

He looks regular to me, to be honest. As long as he doesn't act like a stereotype in the game, he won't be one.
