The Avatar sequels won’t follow a single plot thread, but rather comprise an entire cinematic universe. “Each one [of the sequels] stands alone but together form a complete saga,” said Cameron. He described the story as “a true epic saga told in this rich complex world.”

Reminds me of the whole Fabula Nova Crystallis concept when SE first broke word of it many moons ago.

I think that that makes sense, as he frequently states that Pandora itself is one of the most important "characters" in the film, and the amount of world-building that he put into the story is just IMMENSE.

Avatar 2 starts shooting next Monday

So I guess this is actually happening now.

At this point, does anyone still care about this franchise. It's been in development hell for so long that it's been off people's radar. If they are doing another movie, I hope they have better writers and it's less cliche than the other movie.

I was reeeaaally into the first Avatar when it came out, I was so in love with the planet and everything, but tbh my enjoyment of the movie decreased each time I watched it;as time went on. XD Idk now I'm just not very hyped at all for the (now) series.

But I mean if this second movie actually is completed and comes out and looks/sounds good, I might watch it

I'm still properly excited about it, mainly because I am absolutely enamoured with the world building and such. Also, I know that my missus is incredibly excited for them.

Then again, I don't think that anyone is surprised that the perpetual optimist is excited about this.

I mean, now that they have that Dances with Wolves shit out of the way, they can take the Avatar story in a more interesting direction. The setting is there, and that's really what we're there to see. The only way I could see this failing is if Blue Poser man ends up being some sort of chosen one. (I would rather have him not feature much at all, like he should take the role of all the nun friends in Sister Act 2 or Katara in Korra and just cheer the new heroes on from the sidelines.)

Does that mean there was a fourth tree named X-Death?

LotR x TLS x FF crossover confirmed?

While we're at it we should throw in MLP:FIM, for great justice
Because Fluttertree is canon!

All this can connect back to the magical gaia/consciousness trees of Avatar.
