I think it needs more characters.

I cannot even imagine how on earth an AvX film would ever work, but it doesn't make me want it any less.

that'd be batshit, but I think it might become a thing in the next er, "wave" of marvel movies. If they're going for that, off course. Which off course they will. They might have to do a "hard reset" of the franchise though, at least the x-men one, now that Jackman is out.

OR IS HE?

I also wonder how they're doing things financially, like, all of these actors have played in the highest grossing movie series of all time, and they're being chucked together into one (again). Do they all get paid bajillions?

I mean I guess from an Oscar perspective these movies are trash, but at the same time they're the most impressive thing of all time, wrt how much stuff they manage to throw in there. Couldn't have imagined anything like this ten years ago. Even if LotR and such were already pretty impressive by then.

I also wonder how long it took to make this movie; I can imagine they started shooting and were already working on the CGI and shit right after the previous one.

I watched the Infinity Wars trailer again earlier today. Cried. Have no idea how I’m going to make it through the movie.

IGN review by Scott Collura (9.0/10).

YouTube Video

Main Pro:

* The main characters.
* Thanos is the strongest part of the film (as well as ranking among the best MCU villans).
* Surpising how well many things from the MCU fit together.
* Real stakes.
* Curveballs on how things play out.

Main Con:

* Despite trying its best it just can't give equal screentime to its bloated assemble cast and subplots.
* Some of the new faces just don't get enough development.

Currently at 75/100 on Metacritic with 24 reviews. For reference The Avengers has a 69 while Age of Ultron has 66.

(SPOILER) Entertaining movie. Good balance of humour (unlike Ragnarok). Failed to pull me right in though. Lots of folk dead, surprisingly lacking the emotional impact that this should cause . 3.2/5 stars.

Fucking incredible. I don't have anything negative to say about it. That's how you bring together 10 years of film development all into a single movie.

Better than 'Age of Ultron' for sure but still have to decide if it surpassed the first film.

(SPOILER) I was surprised that Red Skull appeared (albeit not played by Hugo Weaving ).

And also, did anyone feel that James Gunn had a small part in directing a few of the scenes, specifically the ones with the GOTG team? That whole scene with Drax pretending to be invisible was SO hilarious yet incredibly James Gunn and I'm inclined to believe it was written and directed by him).
