In the Moderator Q and A threads, every member is allowed to ask potential moderator candidates questions to more completely gauge how you think they'd act as a mod. They are free to answer or not answer these questions as they like. I would ask that you keep the questions and answers fairly serious, since you're trying to determine if each nominee will be a good fit as a moderator. Now, don't think you can't have any fun with this, just don't completely lose the plot for jokes I'd also ask that you not use these threads to pursue vendettas or cause trouble, as it would be rude to the nominees.
Threads will remain open for half a week, after which a voting thread will be opened.

That said, this is the Q and A thread for Dacon, so get to it.

Tell em the site has a strict policy against having a spam section, many staff members feel that it encourage secular and hostile behavior among members.

If they continue to insist I tell them tough titty and make em gtfo

EDIT: Would probably also point out that the board already has a pretty laid back view of spam and that there are several threads in GC that exist just for members to shoot the shit with each other.

Do you believe that the current structure of mods will change for the better if your reinstated and how do you stand on the transparency issue within staff?

A member who you consider a close friend is being a dick/is violating the rules/being a naughty little piglet - their post/s have been reported, and you are the only mod available to deal with it.

I don't take anything on faith and therefore don't put much stock in believing in anything. It might change some things it might not change anything.

I feel like pretty much everything that goes on in staff is of interest to members so I personally try to be as up front as I possibly can be.

I do what I did. I ask them to stop the offending behavior and if they continue I give them the proper infraction according to their offense.

What would you do if a member was going around all the mod nomination threads and trying to sabotage everyone who wasn't his friend by being a cock?

It depends.

There might not be much I could do depending on how overt said person is being in their posts. If it was really obvious, or if said behavior continued might ask another mod for their opinion, then issue a warning, if it continued to get worse then come the infractions.
