I dunno if the sheer quantity would be the same/not be weird without pre-rendered backgrounds. I used to love running into people's houses etc to see the little details, and how you could tell people's class/the region you were in by things like the toilets (the house Johnny moves into with the woman in Costa Del Sol, the bathroom in general sticking out for some reason as something I could easily envision the real-world counterpart for). It was all in step with the sort of 'lovingly rendered but not purposeful' aspects of the pre-rendered art, things cluttered on kitchen counters, posters on the wall, and so forth. Not that I'm saying there won't be detail in this "3D" FF7, of course, but just that...I dunno, it's harder to imagine the frequent presence of non-interactive/'purposeful' objects like that in it.

I did always enjoy the odd guns and random weaponry spotted in several areas.

^Yeah I remember Rocket Town is packed with AKs for some reason, haha.

And yeah you would need at least two bathrooms, the one on the 66th floor of the Shinra building, and in Costa Del Sol for Barret to be looking at himself in the mirror in his sailor suit

Maybe also the person sick in the Wall Market.
I also like the perennially occupied one in Rocket Town. "I don't know what will happen first, Meteor falling or that guy getting out of the bathroom."

Yep, it's a fact then! Bathrooms, restrooms, toilets and weapons/guns on walls and in booths all need to be retained!

As an aside, I really hope they keep the ridiculously crowded and cramped conditions in the economically-deprived areas. It gives it that favela/shanty town feel which completely suits. I hope some of living arrangements really are like hovels, where you and your party can literally barely move left or right with the analogue stick.

Also I hope they keep the South Asian 'bazaar'/artificial-lighting arcade/mall aesthetic in, for instance, Wall Market again, and of course the cramped shops and bars in Junon. Reminds me of parts of Tokyo, Hong Kong and Thailand so much, where pirated goods and such like are sold.

Nah. If it's anything like FFXV, it'll also have a "Wait Mode" that lets you take time to choose actions more like a traditional RPG.
