Yes I know it's November shut up.

I know this has been present previous years and I can't help but feel like we have the most awesome active users right now.
The premise is simple. If you want to take part then make a post in this thread saying so. In that post you can also list your interests outside of FF or particular parts of the FF series. For example:

Joe's Interests: FFX, FFXII, FFIX, FFXIV. Love Bahamut, Gilgamesh & Alexander. Love Anime (Gurren Lagann, Fate Stay/Night, Re:Zero) and Invader Zim is the best. Also Mass Effect <3

That gives your gifter some ideas. FYI those actually are mine ^

I'll make a list of all those people wanting to take part and then close it in a month, giving people their secret santa and all of December to figure out gifts.
I figure there shouldn't be a limitation on gifts but please don't spend thousands of dollars on people. We don't deserve it

Handmade gifts are also awesome.

Oh I love this idea <3 I'll take part!

Here's some of my main interests:

FFVII, FFIX, FFX, FFXII. Bahamut, Chocobos, FF game weapons. Legend of Zelda, Skyrim/Oblivion, and Mass Effect.
Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter.
Also I love dragons. <3 Geode rocks and succulent plants, for non-nerdy subjects.

So is the secret Santa chosen randomly once the list is closed?

Yeah you'll find out who you get 1st December, I guess. I'll use some sort of random number generator to assign them.

It's triggering all my English awkwardness if money is involved with no limit y'know?

Idk would people feel comfier with a limit? It certainly makes no big difference to me. Any suggestions?

Makes no difference to me either, I'm fine with no technical limit and also fine with $20-$25 limits or something. I personally wouldn't be able to spend much either anyhow, if I bought something.

I'm OK with no limit but would like to point out that the difference between $20 and £20 is astronomical.

Well, not right now it's not.
(Source: Just visited the US and the £ is weaker than I've ever seen it)

As a soft limit why don't we say between £5-£40 (or $6 to $50). I think spending about £25 was what I had in mind personally

That's why I said $20-$25 for my end, to compensate for the difference

(in regards to Octo's post, 20 pounds is basically 25 dollars)

Honestly I don't think anyone would feel weird getting a small gift vs. a big one (money-wise). I mean it's all about giving because you want to anyhow so no need to feel pressured into trying to spend a lot of money on a gift. Again I'm fine with a limit.

OK but let's not immortalise the crashing pound thing, a very short time ago 20 quid was 30 dollars and shortly before that it was almost 40 and it'll recover... eventually... maybe not...
