Nomura also posted on Twitter a possible(and very likely) leak about the ending to end badly because he mentioned something about it being "Hard to Swallow".

Which means KH3 ending will be just like Infinity War which I really didn't want but will have to accept.

This also means that the endings that I want will never happen and the next Saga won't just bring in a new bad guy to the series once Xehanort's gone:

Lea, Isa, Roxas, Xion and Namine eating Sea Salt Ice Cream in Twilight Town alive.

Terra, Ventus and Aqua rebuilt the Land of Departure to honor Eraqus's memory-Eraqus at least I'm positive won't come out of this alive.

Mickey, Donald and Goofy returning to Disney Castle to reunite with everyone.

Sora, Riku and Kairi return to Destiny Islands and Sora and Kairi confess each other's feelings:

Or maybe history will change and the entire franchise will be just like X-Men: Days of Future Past and none of it ever happened.

Either way, as much as I wished and hoped for a happy ending, it's coming closer and closer to the truth that KH3 will be a mixture of Infinity War and FFXV.

I'd much rather have that than Riku, Kairi, Lea, Isa, Roxas, Xion, Namine, Terra, Ven and Aqua end up dead and Sora, Mickey, Donald and Goofy being the only ones surviving.

Plus, Nomura also said a few years back that Sora will always be the main protagonist, that certain characters' stories will continue after the Xehanort Saga which will begin in KH4 where the new saga will also start.

Thinking back to when Nomura said that Sora will always be the main protagonist....

Now I can't stop but think that he'll go back onto his word on that comment and that KH3 will end up with Sora killed and the next saga will move on to someone else just like having a new antagonist.

Either way, I'm expecting KH3 to end terribly or making me and others upset.

More likely it'll be shedding the rest of the cast. Although I think he might be overestimating who would actually miss donald and goofy.

Sora is a young, evolving character (Though his growth is painfully slow), while Donald/Goofy are static icons. I can imagine any game developer would feel frustrated having to pack them along for the ride.

We'll also probably be saying goodbye to all the Nobodies and other characters that I suspect are returning on borrowed time, and that's a lot of characters that a lot of people are attached to. But if Xehanort and the quest for the Chi blade ends, so too do their relavance.

As still growing characters that are capable of exploring new ideas with, only Sora, Rikku, Kairi, and possibly Axel have any real safety to continue on to the next chapters.

I'm not worried that the Disney Trio[Mickey, Donald and Goofy] will die because they won't because they're icons, especially Mickey.

I am certain that Ansem the Wise and Eraqus are those among that will definitely go bye-byes. I mean, if I remember correctly, Mark Hamil's making another appearence in KH3, so adult Eraqus has to have a role in this somewhere. Maybe sacrificing himself to help Sora free and save Terra?

Plus, what's the point of Sora being chosen to save those who need to be saved and have the power to bring those back who were lost or ceased to exist(Aka: Aqua, Ven, Terra, Axel/Lea-who was already revived-Roxas, Xion and Namine) if they're still going to die forever?

I don't have BBS sleep from what I remember, but Ven is the one I expect to be on borrowed time, as is Terra. So I expect those two to "Fade", as will Roxas and Namine if they're needed, since they're parts that Sora/Kairi need to be whole.

Aqua I expect to take on the duties of teaching a new generation of keyblade masters.

Axel is a wildcad, as are the nobodies and that whole vague notion that they're growing their own hearts over time.

But Sora, Riku, and Kairi are going to be mainstays across the entire series. If they really want, they can build an entire sidegame for Kairi and sell it on mobile.

I really had believed that Sora would save the BBS trio and the Sea Salt Trio and Namine who deserve a better life and needed to be saved from their hurting, not end up having their existances end completely, up until Nomura said that the game will be darker and the ending will be "Hard to Swallow" and that just screams "There's no such thing as a happy ending in the Xehanort Saga unless it's Disney Movie worlds"...

Well, except for the Toy Story world since that event will lead to Toy Story 3.

Even though they could return for the next Saga as well since Disney owns all of the original Kingdom Hearts characters despite said characters being half Disney and half Final Fantasy characters since Nomura created them.

I was hoping for Aqua to reunite with Ven and Terra, but that's most likely not happening.

Axel returned as a human(Aka: Lea) as did some of the other Nobodies(Even, Dilan, Aeleus and Ienzo) since once both a Heartless half and Nobody half are destroyed, they fuse together to restore their original. Plus, Lea/Axel is most people's favorite character and most of us want to see more of him.

Or else why even borther bringing Xehanort back for the final battle?

That's the thing. Sora will return as the main protagonist(unless Nomura changed his mind on that, like he always does with everything he works on), and we're not 100% certain if Riku and Kairi will return as well even though we want to.

All this craziness on KH3 being darker than the other titles and the "Hard to Swallow" ending makes the future for all of the protagonists and main support characters very likely to uncertainty.

Personally, I have a feeling that Riku is going to die saving Sora or something. That would be hard to swallow for fans, I think. None of the disney characters will die, because they're, well, Disney, and Disney would not allow it. And characters dying in Kingdom Hearts and not being revived would be 'hard to swallow'. The only other thing that could be hard to swallow would be Sora and Kairi getting married in the end and having a child... yeah, that wouldn't happen.

Edit: Ah, okay. A mistranslation. There goes my Riku is going to die theory.

None of the disney characters will die, because they're, well, Disney, and Disney would not allow it. And characters dying in Kingdom Hearts and not being revived would be 'hard to swallow'. The only other thing that could be hard to swallow would be Sora and Kairi getting married in the end and having a child... yeah, that wouldn't happen. Edit: Ah, okay. A mistranslation. There goes my Riku is going to die theory.
