I found a monologue in Dismantled that I haven't fully translated yet where Cloud remembers the promise, the star and the beautiful night. Makes me rethink what I said about Cloud saying that "Wishing on a star" line in Dissidia wasn't about the Promise. ...

You know, it's funny. I never considered that line in relation to Tifa. It wasn't until I really thought about it that I thought it could be possible. There was a shooting star on the night of the promise, but it's kind of a stretch to just assume. If you have the quote, can you post it? I forget what it was (if I ever knew to begin with).

I don't have the full thing done yet... and I haven't looked at it in a while XD aaannnd I'm tired...

But I've heard in the files for the game, The Promise Scene is labeled "Promise under a Star"

anyone know if that's true?

I don't recall two specific interest for Cloud being mentioned in the opening post. For all I know this is the ZackxCloudxSephiroth thread, or TidusxCloudxSquall, or LeftHandxCloudxRightHand. You people need to narrow these things down.

Well maybe not off topic but... silly nontheless... and the only thing I have from that monologue is:

Tifa said, "Cloud it's been a while." I also remember that star in the beautiful night, and speaking with her at the village water tower. I am Tifa's childhood friend and Cloud of Nibelheim.

Ever notice how when you say C/T is canon to some clerith shippers they proclaim that you are "bashing the pairing" or "attacking them for liking C/A"?

Who knew that when SE made the Ultimania and stated that C/T reveal mutual feelings what they were actually saying was "C/A is dumb and you are dumb for liking it"?

I've been out of FF fandom for a while but i'm slightly surprised the LTD still appears to be going. Well, emphasis on the word slightly haha. Idk, I guess i'm just finding it hard to understand/amusing how the same old people are still continuing to argue for Clerith in the face of so much well, blatant obviousness? I can't believe that they still believe the stuff they're arguing, surely it's more of a "I've been arguing for 14 years, I will never concede defeat!" type thing right?...right!?

It's not so much that there's anything left to debate as it is there are still people pretending like they can make a case for Cloud and Tifa not being canon.

But for the thread... Cloud loves Tifa, Aerith loves TsengZack, and Clerith is a cute fanon pairing.
