Who do you think are the best youtubers covering the Remake Trilogy.

I mostly just watch Let’s Players. I sometimes watch Dansg08 and Magemasher22.

the only problem I have is that he is treated as this authority on FFVII when there are people more knowledgable.

I like Max in spite of the fact that he is often what I'd call "confidently wrong", during his Rebirth playthrough he seems to have toned that down a little bit though.

Before you read the list below I should qualify it by telling anyone reading this that some of them initially irritated me (I won't say which), and I know for a fact that some of you bitter bitches will try one or two of them out and think the same. The advice I have for that is: get over yourself and give them a try, because they all share one thing in common - they deeply care about the story when they're playing.

LazBoi - This guy is an interesting one - came to the Final Fantasy franchise in general via Remake, VII is his favourite and he now hates bits of the compilation (and the extra stuff in Remake/ Rebirth, which is ironic because it was his entry to the series) https://www.youtube.com/@ItsLazBoi/videos - he has a playlist of every FF game now, he's played them all.

I also really like Frankie Lollia https://www.youtube.com/@frankielollia - again, entertaining.

I don’t really watch analysis YouTubers (maybe I’m naive/arrogant) because I feel like I already know the story well.

I also just like seeing reactions more or less so I stick to let’s players. Living vicariously since I’ll never get to experience it for the first time ever again.

Also, like @Lex said, I do think I’m somewhat a bitter bitch lol…. I don’t want to give a shit about whatever new take a streamer or YouTuber has so even then I tend to skip around and watch for specific scenes.

I like to watch Welonz Let’s Play; her entry was Remake, then Intergrade, CCR and now she’s playing Rebirth. Her thing is to play blind so oddly enough the only thing she knew before starting was that in the OG Aerith and Tifa were pit against each other. Her play of Remake really eased her on that though. She’s not super good at fights but she’s interesting to watch and ver fun too!

I sometimes watch Max on Twitch because he’s fun to watch, even if I don’t necessarily agree with everything he says.

That’s all. I sometimes watch clips etc. But usually I don’t watch that much besides Welonz since I don’t have much time.

Final Fantasy Peasant is entertaining, so I'll watch him from time to time. Darkkefka as well. I prefer to come here for info though There's always links to interviews and supplemental material. As others have said, this is the best place to actually learn more about the in-universe stuff of the games.

MinnMax is doing a game club discussion for Rebirth with input from their community (like they did for Remake): The Deepest Dive. I think it's very entertaining. It's kind of lame though that they don't want to spoil the original FF7, which makes it harder to talk about the game. Bad decision in my opinion.

I'm watching several let's players on Rebirth:

We have Mandersnatch, who has played the OG, Remake, CC, most of the rest of the series all in the last 5 years, who has currently published up til mid way ch 10 of her rebirth playthrough. Very focused on character building (especially if that character is Tifa but the others as well) Here is the link to her next episode that premieres tomorrow:

I am also following Kastaclysm, who is COMPLETELY new to the series, only having played Remake and FF16. She focuses a lot on worldbuilding (especially anything involving buildings as she is passionate about home renovation). Currently published up to the very beginning of Ch 10, link to yesterday's episode.
