I fell hard for Lucanis because the accent is so much Zevran, except not because it's still unique. I squealed the first time I heard his voice. I haven't looked up his romance on YouTube in case I want to do a second playthrough.........

Did you also play rogue? I specialized in the archer role/thingy, I forgot to mention that.

Just finished with my first playthrough yesterday!

I really enjoyed this game. I was aware of some poor reception to this DA game, but I made sure to avoid reading too much into why. I originally wanted to wait longer to get this game. I had thought of upgrading my PC first, or looking for the PS5 version, but the EA sale in early December was temptation enough for me to get it for the PC anyway. I was able to play it at slightly better than minimum specs with some minor stuttering in busy areas. Other than that, Veilguard ran fairly well on my rig; didn't even crash or hang once.

My Rook was a rogue, with the Lord of Fortune background:

Spoiler: Decision, decisions

In the opening chapter, I set Harding to guard our back and Neve got injured.
Saved Treviso but left Monrathous vulnerable, so Neve was hardened.
I wooed Neve and eventually got her and Rook to admit their love to each other.
I managed to get all my teammates to put their past issues to rest and got all their Veilguard armour.
I encouraged Emmrich to let Manfred pass on and pursue his life's ambition.
Davrin died and so did Assan, I think...
The others survived the final assault, and with Morrigan's help as well as the Inquisitor who romanced him, I managed to talk Solas down from enacting his plan.

So, despite the losses, I think I got the good ending. The post credits scenes hint at possible material for another DA game, or at least for DLC chapters. I'm already thinking about starting up another Rook and wondering what romancing Emmrich is going to be like.
