My take on this LTD is think of it as parallels. When Cloud wasn’t seen around for awhile Tifa thought about him a lot and when Zack wasn’t around Aerith thought about him. So when Aerith stumbled across Cloud she was initially drawn to him bc he kinda reminded her of Zack, but slowly realized...
