SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 18 Spoiler Discussion

That in itself is extremely complicated, and not a easy task at all. They would have to leave the overwhelming bulk of this mystery right until the end of the final installment, and besides people's patience stretching thin, the odds of that not working are simply....way too big for anyone's...

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 15 Spoiler Discussion

I definitely don't think the Turks at the beggining of the Remake were already a disobedient force inside Shinra. Hell, even Reno, the most disobedient one, only has one kind of instance where doesnt follow along his orders. And he was badly hurt. The office Turks scene, besides expanding the...

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 18 Spoiler Discussion

The problem is a question of focus, really. Sephiroth is a big focus of the OG's story right after you leave Midgar. He is singlehandedly the driving force behind.....pretty much everything. And it really feels like he is a looming threat, controlling the party behind the scenes. That focus is...

    SPOILERS Hard Mode Discussion

I don't think any game I ever played was good enough to make me actually rewatch the same cutscenes on a second playthrough, specially right after the first playthrough. Hell, my second playthrough of OGVII was pratically 50% me just pressing through the dialogues. I know, don't kill me.

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 15 Spoiler Discussion

Yeah I was talking more about old school Shinra. Prez, Heidegger, Hojo. All that. Rufus is a softie deep down, that ends up being the money guy for the WRO, right? Makes sense they would keep following him. He also had a change of heart, and seeks redemption.

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 18 Spoiler Discussion

That's kind of like my line of thinking too. I mean, two Sephiroths having knowledge from the future seems a bit redundant. Unless there is going to be some power play between the two Sephs? Which is simply.....well it doesnt sound great. Sephiroth is clearly the big, big bad. Having two of them...

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 15 Spoiler Discussion

This duality of the Turks being presented in the Remake, the seeds of their increasing disconnection with Shinra, is just spot on, which is why I dont put it in the same spot as the "Avalanche didnt really blow up the reactors" side of things. It's definitely part of their characterization, and...

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 18 Spoiler Discussion

I've been thinking. During Chapter 17, when Seph Copy shows up, stabs Barret and the Whispers surround him (and he just brushes them off), that's the Seph at Northern Crater controlling it, right? Wouldnt that sort of make it improbable the possibility that there are actually 2 Sephiroths...

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 15 Spoiler Discussion

Except, we dont know if they are not afraid to ignore orders, and we dont know if there would be no consequences to not doing it. We also have Tseng literally saying "if we didnt do it, someone else would" to push even further the idea that not only were the Turks maybe misguided, they were...

SPOILERS FFVII:R Chapter 15 Spoiler Discussion

The line was a bit much, the sentiment I feel is understandable. Considering the Turks simply did not approve of the bombing, and feel guilty of it, Tifa would 100% forgive them. And the Remake is building towards that.

How long is the story mode in Final Fantasy 7

I actually think the opposite. To me, the original sacrificed a consistent pacing in order to focus on certain narrative segments (that have their own pacing), that consistently increase in scope. So you can really feel like the world and the story are going to new high heights everytime, really...

SPOILERS FFVII Remake Open Spoiler Discussion Thread

That's kind of like the issue here. Swapping the skyboxes is a pretty glaring mistake that someone would have catched up eventually, right? There has to be some kind of reason as to why it happened. I cant say it was on purpose, but still. It's so....weird actually.

SPOILERS FFVII Remake Open Spoiler Discussion Thread

I really dont know how this possibly could have happened. It had to be a special situation right? Like, there was simply no time to correct or something. It's such a big fuck up, that nothing kind of comes close. EDIT: Came across this thread by the same guy trying to explain the faulty...

Damnit Unreal. It's funny because Trials of Mana Remake, also developed with Unreal and by Square, has kind of the same problems. It really is recurrent

SPOILERS State of the Shinra Military Address (*Open Spoilers*)

I think my problem is the exact opposite. To me, Shinra personnel didnt need expansion. Reeve will get his next game, as Rufus will. The Turks are expanded already, and they will be even more. Hojo, Prez, Heidegger and Scarlet are all within what they should be: villains. Not complex villains...

    FFVIIR Original Soundtrack

It's absolutely insane. Like, it's amazing how I can't look at boss battles the same way anymore. "Wait, you dont have specific tracks for bosses, each one of them with 2-3 phases that just goes hard as f*ck?". And then I remember, oh yeah, that isnt the norm, it's just FFVIIR being awesome.

SPOILERS Anyone Willing to Admit the Remake Was better then the Original?

Eh......I think that's a very, very hard comparison to make. You obviously have to consider the fact that FFVII wasnt about Midgar, so taking just the Midgar portion and comparing to a full game is just....wrong. And also, a tiny little detail that FFVII is 23 years old. You absolutely need to...

    Roche, SOLDIER behavior and discipline

I actually dont want Roche to be "that" expanded. He's like Heidegger or Scarlet, one-dimensional sure, but that's what makes them who they are. I dont want to start understanding their motives behind their evil schtick, they are just like that and they serve their purpose.

    Cloud and swordsmanship

What I don't get is this idea that "Seph humiliated Cloud, so Cloud sucks". First, "embarassing" it's subjective. To me, it's his own fight style that, mind you, took down plenty of bad guys all throughout the game. It's kinda neat actually, that he goes for these clear strikes and jumping...
