I don’t think the empty materia will be the thing that helps Cloud become whole again, but I could see it changing in some way once he is better.

Just did a side quest in Gongaga and Cissnei talks about Zack. Confirms she never saw him as more than a friend but misses him, and said she feels guilty for stealing a part of his life from him. Then she says “Now I know what he saw in you” to Aerith. 😭

I’d like to see domestic Tifa, Cloud, Denzel and Marlene while Cloud is happy. And with their current character designs.

Maybe the trilogy will lead to AC but since Sephiroth will be purged from the Lifestream there will be no Geostigma and we’ll get a different story. Maybe less grayscale too. One where Cloud is more like the post-Lifestream dork Cloud. Extremely low chance of that. But would be nice. Retcon AC!

You guys have got me so scared to get to the end. I’m at the beginning of Chapter 12 and am doing side quests. I’m not a fan of AC either btw. I would really like for them to remake it after the trilogy and do it better.

To be fair, I’ve had a similar experience with a friend of mine. And I did think it was sweet of him. But we’re just friends. We have a very meaningful relationship, but nothing romantic. It’s just not the type of relationship that is portrayed very often between a straight male and female.

They couldn't stand Chapter 9 and the foreshadowing of Tifa helping fix Cloud, so they probably have convinced themselves that that snippet in Rebirth was enough, so it'll all be about Aerith helping Cloud through it instead, and Cloud coming to terms with her death and wanting to die to be with...

I agree with you. I would guess we'll get Aerith in the third game the same way we've had Zack in this game.

The Lifestream sequence will be fleshed out and expanded on greatly (and it's already a decently long part in the OG). All you have to do is play through and experience Tifa in the Lifestream in Chapter 9 in Rebirth to see a glimpse of the care that will be put into it. Everything about that...
