Yes, Crisis Core was synced. And, they didn't even re-render the untouched scenes, so they would have to re-render them twice in HD: once for the Japanese lips and once for the English lips. If they didn't even do it for the Japanese voice track, I'm going with a 0% chance on this one.

I don't think you understand upscaling, from your statement. Upscaling is simply taking the standard definition content and using technology to "add" pixels to make it look a bit better. If you played the original DVD on your PS3 or any upscaling DVD player, it would look the same as the old...

Square would not have gone through the trouble of making this movie without creating extremely high resolution textures. The movie was technically made in HD; the polygon count used to create the characters didn't matter since it just translated over into video. They rendered it and just...

Why? Perhaps it's your computer. I don't see any reason for it to not play "some." You didn't need to take that personally; I'm just stating that it wouldn't be the program's fault.

To re-render the movie would take a while, but given the amount of time they had, and the powerful computers that they had, it should not have been an unrealistic request.

I know they don't...everyone will buy the damn thing anyway, but I spent a good chunk of change importing this and to find out that half the movie isn't in its advertised quality really sucks.

I tried contacting Square and couldn't find an English part of their Japan website so I talked to a live rep from the NA site and expressed my disgust, and unfortunately he said that since it's only released in Japan, they're unable to comment on it. Guess we'll have to wait until June to get...
