Ive been trying to pick up some tips for colouring to try to improve. I need to get used to using the tablet aswell. The lineart is really awefull. I could do with having one of those Wacom Cintiq screens for drawing accurately... But they're so expensive. I guess I'll just do clean lines with the pen tool

I bought a new pad for sketching, but I don't really like the texture + a dark pencil I'm not used to, and doesn't blend much especially on this paper.

I usually don't do this much shadow contrast, didn't really work out. It makes the face look lopsided... and its difficult drawing straight on.

Those are my excuses lol

Wow, your portraits are beautiful, Pixel. I love the pencil work, they're so detailed!
You seem to have mastered drawing teeth; I'm still trying to draw teeth and make it look realistic without being too dark on the lines! It's something I'm struggling with.

The ballerina pic: That's actually quite impressive. You tell so much in such a minimalist piece and the skirt seems to flow like the petals of a flower. It's almost like she's constructed out of water. Very awesome!

I just wrote something similar on another's art thread, and then I opened up this one and feel the need to repeat myself:

Your pencil drawings are incredible!
I've been exposed to pencil drawings quite a bit lately after I commissioned a friend for 50+ pieces of art - I considered his art pieces to be amazing, but I honestly don't have a justifiable expression to capture the magnitude of excellence in your pieces

Great stuff

And yes, what I wrote is almost word for word on that other thread - but, seriously, the sheer scale of talented people here is a little overwhelming (I can't even draw a stick figure without it looking askew)
