You're hereby reminded, 
. I've had a look at the code actually trying to look for anything that might cause the rapid-fire reload, but I couldn't find anything obvious - uses the right API's in the right order, etc. Maybe it's a browser bug instead, where background tabs go haywire or something. Could be lots of things.
But anyway, as far as I could see the only way to turn it off was to edit the JS code itself and remove the interval.

Check the network tab on the forum home tab (if you keep that open), check if it's spamming the refresh service thing. And/or I could check the logs, see if your IP address spammed us.
checked, didn't seem to be the case. You do seem to not be using caching very effectively though - make sure you're not using anonymous browsing, or have a setting in your browser that clears the cache all the time, or stuff like that.

I don't have those settings. I got the same "Rate Limit Exceeded" thing again this morning. It's only happening recently since you had the refresh on the top 10 stats and then the other two times afterwards, including this one.
